Well, someone will probably say "If it has good stats on it, other lanes will buy it" to which I as a support main would say "Awesome! The more people on my team that have Sightstones, the more wards we have! What's not to love there?"

This, even if the enemy team starts using them against you more at least people are warding.

This, and if it was really cost effective, then it would be good for supports since they already have less gold to use in-between recalls. Plus, warding is something I rarely do if I'm not support, so it would be very nice if there was something other than health given with the sightstone, or even the ruby sightstone. Ruby sightstone would probably have to be changed to be the "enchantment" extension of the sightstone.

I sincerely doubt an item with AP in the 30-50 range is worth anything to AP stackers, though.

true, but the cost will probably increase as well, which wouldn't be that great, I would like to see them bring the ward active back to jungle items personally, I think one option they could look into is making sightstone an enchantment that could be applied to any non active item in the shop, it would allow you to have whatever stats on sightstone you wanted and people would have no excuse to skip wards late game.

Omg...I had Posted this idea on aphomoos chat and people went crazy. They thought it was dumb. I think it is a great idea. It makes supports more effective and gives us more choice.

Morgana... eh, kind of annoying... But Lulu is not that bad. Lulu is easily beatable. 40% CDR Lulu is pretty strong, but I haven't played Morgana, so I have no idea what she's like in the late game.

And really that comes down to counter-picking. Any mobile champ should never get trapped by Morg, whereas Lulu's slow is felt the most on those same mobile champs.

I think it's just the immobile champs that suffer from Lulu's slow and especially Morg's snare and whatnot, simply because they can't escape quick enough. And if a Morgana sent a snare out and hit you, there's probably the rest of her team right behind her too.

I would honestly rather have health than ap on sona... then again i like to play for utility and tankiness. An aura would probably be the best for me. The more auras the better.

Well that's what Ruby Sightstone is for.

Personally I'd like a mana sightstone; the recent nerfs to chalice/athene's mana regen makes is really easy to go oom as Sona.

I know i meant it as an argument that there is no need for more sightstones. Maybe it is just me not maining support and therefore needing the extra health or something as for mana yeah i agree there. I am usually fine after support item + mikaels + censor... that combined gives crazy mana regen and all seems almost core on sona to me.

Tbh Censor is only average on Janna. Sure Sona can use it but really only the adc will be using your attack speed heals, but since Sona's heal isn't targeted it's not as reliable on her.

It does proc on the shield as well but there are much better items on Sona, censor really isn't worth it as a purchase. The reason to get sightstone is more for vision control than health, the extra HP is just a bonus and something that all supports can use, Leona for example woudn't really be too thrilled about the extra AP.

True, Leona doesn't want ap, but that's why a lot of people have been requesting a build path that starts with Sightstone, like the jungle items. Maybe things like an AP sightstone, a sightstone that gives you more warding range, etc. Different things for different supports.

Sadly, since Sightstone is considered staple on support, Riot intentionally lowers their base HP stats cause they assume they'll have it minutes into the game.

How many games have you had a team where everyone scaled with attack speed? There is a difference between increasing the attack speed on a Vayne and the attack speed on a Vladimir.

As a Sona main I prefer the health actually, Sona's scaling isn't that high, so most games being a bit less squishy is more useful than a bit of AP. Morg and Lulu don't really need the buff. What I'd want is a separate item slot just for wards/sightstone similar to what smite has.

Only downside I see coming from this is there would likely be an armor/mr option and maybe even a small cdr/ad option to sightstone. Know what that means?! Lee Sin just got even stronger. Gets health from the sightstone and now some stats! :(
That being said, Riot might actually do it now xD

make a sightstone for every stat, and then make the description say "lee sin is banned from purchasing" then again rito will prob make a special CDR + AD one for lee sin since they love him so much

My favourite support by far.

We could change exhaust to a support summoner spell or add a new one, similar to the way machete and smite work. Give us three build paths.

One focuses on damage. One focuses on tankiness. One focuses on utility.

I know there's a thread somewhere about support items, and how it could get the S5 jungle treatment, not including gutting 90% of viable champs for that role.

I thought if there will be other Sightstone better provide Mana... but... Sightstone recipe is Ruby Crystal that gives Health so that is the problem...

if Sightstone was the basic item and built into Health and Mana with Ruby Crystal and Sapphire Crystal...
