In few steps midlane is basically this.

  1. Jungler going top ? Fast clear wave. Follow jungler.
  2. Jungler going bot ? Fast clear wave. Follow jungler.
  3. Jungler fapping ? And you have no idea where is enemy jung ? Freeze lane
  4. Jungler fapping ? And you know where is jungle ? Fast clear wave and try to zone enemy mid to follow his jung.

enemy. And you are fast clearing ofc if the enemy jungler is not going mid. That's why you keep buying control wards btw. To spot enemy jungler, unlike in other roles warding, you don't care that much about if the ward will survive. As a midlaner you should always know where the enemy jungler is. Otherwise even when freezing you can easily become free-kill.

so the job is to keep roaming as effective as possible but if you cant do that you just ward hard deep then freeze?

  1. If it's as a support, when you see that the enemy midlaner is overextending and pushing your midlaner near tower, your midlaner has a pinkward and the enemy would not know who is roaming into him/her. if there is no pinkward, it's a gamble and you might get counter-ganked.

  2. if you are fed, and you see there is still enemy players with 0 deaths or carry a shutdown gold bounty on their pockets and you know you can get the kill, go for it.
