@Riot: A communications suggestion

When you add rationale for updates to the patch notes, be sure to explain that rationale beyond just the context of the champion at hand. In particular, discuss other champions of the same archetype as the one being updated. Let us know which you consider to be healthy and which need looking into for similar reasons.

I'll use the upcoming change to Veigar as an example. Quotes from Riot are flying around about how Event Horizon doesn't offer counter-play because if it lands it can be followed up with a deadly combo. I tend to agree, but you are silent on other champions with the exact same issue, such as Annie. Instead, I'd suggest you emphasize that opportunities for counter-play are a primary objective in the design of any champion, noting that Veigar is being looked at now because he's at the top of the queue, but that champion X, Y, and Z are also slated for a look.

Failing to do this makes your changes appear inconsistent and arbitrary.

The community let out a collective WTF?! when Zed was recently described as a healthy example of the assassin archetype. You need to explain why, because it came off as being completely out-of-touch. The same goes for Lee Sin being a healthy jungler.
