Instead of building out of wardens mail can we have it build out of chainmail vest and keep its cost below 2500...? I like the greivous wounds, i really do, but 200HP is..... not good. The point of thornmail is that it was a massive chunk of armor for cheap. Can we keep it a massive chunk of armor without giving it a lame build path?

Alternately we could have bramble vest a 1200 basic item with 50 armor and the thorn effect that combines with giants belt and gold so we can have a 60armor 400HP thornmail. 200HP 75 armor is just.... strange. and to low to either fill a niche or be a situationally good item aside from applying GW.

Idk, I always felt really bad about taking pure armor. No health, no CDR, just armor. Felt icky. Even when I wanted a chunk of armor or the reflective damage, I hated investing a couple thousand gold into an item so narrow.

New Thornmail feels so much safer and broader.

It was cheap though. 75/200 is to much armor for not enough HP... ... TO be honest, all tank items should build out of giants belt. Otherwise you get situations where items just arent worth it compared to each other, even situationally.

Fuck cheap, I want an investment. And anyway, Warden's Mail plus Glacial Shroud felt stronger by itself!

Also, 250 health, not 200.

item 3035 is cheaper. thats the problem.

RIOT wants thornmail to be harder to build, and doesn't want it to be an item available for purchase by tanks as a one item slot answer to auto attackers. The new thornmail, even with grievous wounds, is far less effective at countering lifedrain from lifesteal than the current thornmail because of the loss of the 15% damage reflect.
