The Team With The Most Fed Player Nearly Always Wins.

This is the number one thing about the state of the game which I hate the most right now.

The game has become so team focused, that more often than not, team fighting and catching players out means more than acquiring objectives. Which side has an easier time killing someone caught out? Most obviously the team that has a player who 100-0's everyone and anything they lay eyes on.

I've played more than one game, where my team when behind acquired baron multiple times and lost. One game, we had 3 Barons and an Elder Dragon and still couldn't manage to pull through and win the game. Objectives simply don't mean anything anymore unless you are winning or at least breaking even against the opposing team.

It's a major problem. As soon as one player begins rolling ahead of the others, there is simply no way to bring them back down until everyone on both teams has 6 items.

In every single match, win or loss, on my op.gg as far down as I can look -- every game is won by the team who has the player with the most total kills and assists. All of them. There's not a single game in my entire match history where the most fed player ever lost, regardless of objectives captured by teams. The game rewards you so much for killing other players now, that nothing else even matters.

Why is this state of game allowed to persist? Is this the way Riot intended for the game to be?

I don't want to be too cynical because it's still League of Legends and I enjoy it, but matches are so predictable these days. As soon as one person gets fed on my team or the enemy team I already know the game is over. There's not even a reason to keep playing it out anymore. Riot, you might as well make a system that auto forfeits for a team after someone gets fed at this point to your save player base's sanity.

Hopefully this issue will be addressed soon as it's depressing to be seeing patterns like that. Especially in a game that allows teammates to trap you into games that you won't win with their denied surrender votes.

This isn't "state of the game", though, that's basically how it's always been.

No it has not. How long have you played?

Let me tell you instead, I started playing this game in Season 2, the game most definitely was not always like this. It used to be possible to stall out games when one person on the enemy team had a lead. Things like Rift Herald, did not used to exist. Do you know what Rift Herald is? It's a buff for the winning team and basically a bait to get the enemy team killed. It's nearly useless for the team that's losing, and only does its job for the team which is already winning.

Strategy has gone out the window. The team who's carry does more damage always wins. Damage is fucking insane now, the smallest spike literally means that person now kills you faster than you can blink your eyes. In the past, Tanks could actually soak damage. How about you look at things like Maokai before he was reworked and try to tell me which Tank these days soaks damage like he used to? There are none right now. Sion is probably the closest thing currently, and even he gets pretty damn squishy once the enemies get fed.

This game is not even remotely similar to how it used to be. Snowballing before didn't mean the game was over, it just meant the game was a lot more difficult to win. Snowballing enemies these days means /ff at 15 minutes because the game probably won't last more than 25 minutes tops.

Any champion is OP if you feed them.

That's how league has always worked. That's how DOTA has always worked. That's how every MOBA always has, and always will, work.

This is not a balance problem, it's a low skill / chair-and-keyboard problem.

I'll believe your argument once you go carry a game as Nami top against Quinn.

Fed champions are OP. This is, again, the norm and not a problem.

"Nami vs quinn solo lane." is a wholly different beast. Primarily that's one of lane dynamics.

Pro tip: Not every champion can reasonably curb-stomp every other champion in every scenario, and some champs are going to more easily curb stomp others. This is called A-symmetrical balance, and in a game with over 130 champions it's pretty much mandatory.

Now if you're done building strawmen, do you have any actual points to make? Or are you just going to try and move the goal posts again to declare yourself the victor.

You make absolutely no sense. You keep using blanket statements and terms such as "fed" and "op", talking as though this discussion is some type of sporting event where one team beats the other, when it is not, and not giving any reasonable or factual evidence to support your statement aside from your own personal belief that all fed champions are powerful.

I don't know how to even begin replying to you because no amount of data or information will please someone who is stuck on their own belief that they're always correct.

This is so incorrect. This is the problem many people have these days. It is that the potential to solocarry a game has gone down drastically. Seasons 1,2 even 3 and 4 if you stomped your lane you could be 4-5 levels ahead of them, not any more. The EXP that people get simply for being behind is absurd.

Potential to solo carry down? Yes. Potential for fed player to group and run it down mid and win? Higher than ever.

Well imo stronger towers would be a good thing indeed. Also, what ELO are we talking about? Why is the team not assigning waveclear strong members to defend at inhib while the rest of the team takes down the other lane towers?

You are absolutely right but do you think Riot Games gives a damn about towers? This is the same company that added the Rift Herald to League of Legends and took away our shields on Tier 2 towers. I do think Towers need massive buffs, and I also think that Rift Herald needs removed from the game.

As for my ELO, I am mid / high Silver. One of my accounts is Silver I and the other is Silver III right now. However, when I watch streamers I don't see much which changes. It appears to be the same problem across the board anywhere that I've looked personally.

This is how literally every game works. Someone gets super far ahead or a huge lead? Yes, your chances of winning increases heavily. I don't understand what you're getting at.

Now if you were arguing that it's too easy to snowball from things like bounties, first tower gold, etc., then maybe people would view this as a valid point. But essentially saying "People who are ahead win too easily" is just pointless.

Obviously you my good sir, have never heard of Trick2g.

Please continue to tell me more about the most fed player always winning, not every game was always like it is now in the past.

The game has become so team focused, that more often than not, team fighting and catching players out means more than acquiring objectives.

Yes, a team based MOBA is team focused. Snowballing happens in MOBAs and games where kills accentuate your power.

Which side has an easier time killing someone caught out? Most obviously the team that has a player who 100-0's everyone and anything they lay eyes on.

Killing someone? Yes. Which team has an easier time taking objectives? Not the team of Zyra Caitlyn Rengar Annie Chogath. People like Jax, Shen, Udyr, etc. will always be better at taking objectives because different champions are suited to different things. The game isn't all about kills and you can see this as early as Gold+.

I've played more than one game, where my team when behind acquired baron multiple times and lost. One game, we had 3 Barons and an Elder Dragon and still couldn't manage to pull through and win the game. Objectives simply don't mean anything anymore unless you are winning or at least breaking even against the opposing team.

Your team didn't capitalize on Baron buffs enough. If you can get Baron and properly focus down the enemy team while not being overly behind, you can win any game. An example would be losing 25 to 40 kills and getting a Baron steal. Totally possible to win that game, your one lost game doesn't change that fact. Also, show me the match history from that game and I'll completely deconstruct it for you.

It's a major problem. As soon as one player begins rolling ahead of the others, there is simply no way to bring them back down until everyone on both teams has 6 items.

Not true at all. Focus them in teamfights or splitpush to take their team fighting strength away from them, not that hard. Just because it feels that way to you doesn't make it true.

In every single match, win or loss, on my op.gg as far down as I can look -- every game is won by the team who has the player with the most total kills and assists. All of them. Yes, again, kills matter. If the enemy Rengar gets 25 kills and 12 assists, obviously he's going to clean house. I really don't understand what you're getting at. So what you're saying is that if someone gets insanely fed by focusing intelligently, making clean escapes, and not getting caught out, they shouldn't be rewarded? If you have a problem with the basic fundamental of MOBAs that kills matter, maybe you shouldn't be playing MOBAs.

I don't want to be too cynical because it's still League of Legends and I enjoy it, but matches are so predictable these days. Doesn't seem like you enjoy it at all, in fact. Maybe take a break from League.

Games are not instantly decided the second someone gets slightly fed. Again, if you give up at the sight of someone being fed, maybe MOBAs aren't the game for you. Good focusing, splitpushing, and smart gameplay can lead to comebacks no matter what state of the game we're in. Do I personally like the state of the game or think it's healthy? No, but even I can see that comebacks are possible and if you don't have that mindset in every game, don't play.

There, every point addressed.

Okay, I'm just going to count this as a troll post since a single one-trick player's stream is all you have to respond with.

Okay, I'm just going to count this as a troll post since a single one-trick player's stream is all you have to respond with.

Why? Because you appear delusional about the fact that some champions are designed to be split pushers? Sorry to break it to you, but not every champion is designed to be grouping and throwing down at mid lane. That's what this game has become in the past couple seasons.

Tanks = Items hit with nerf after nerf the past two seasons. Tanks & Juggernauts = Many reworked into less durable and more unreliable champions.

There was a reason every season in the past was considered a Tank meta, but I also happen to believe that Tanks made the game balanced. The current state of the game is complete dogshit imo. If the other team gets fed, and a split pusher doesn't group with his team, the game is over. You literally can't do a lot of things which you used to be capable of due to mechanics, abilities, etc. Riot has added into the game.

For example we got:

  • ADC's who outrun Master Yi Jhin

  • Empowered recall on Rift Herald and Baron.

  • Rift Herald (Abomination)

  • Champions who can kill most of an entire team even without using their ultimate Zed

  • Dragons which give scaling stats, which are mostly beneficial to the winning team since they scale percentages.

  • Runes which give damage that champions normally wouldn't have. --

Literally all of these things combined are creating this terrible meta of League right now. Split pushing is actually troll these days because in a 4v5 fight, most team comps have zero chance of defending their base. There are no tanks of the past to help stall fights and games. Rift Herald accentuates the issue even more as losing teams cannot contest it up the lane to stop it, and it's even more difficult to win a fight without your tower. Split pushing during Baron used to be normal for Top laners in the past. These days, you go split pushing and your whole teams dies then the enemy team has a 4 second recall timer to come for your ass.

Seriously, there's not one good thing I can list off about any of the changes that went into the game.
