The pros outweigh the cons heavily. It is ruining your game. Just make some stupid countermeasures against abuse.
If players are in party or friends, if one of them AFK they both don't get a loss prevented, but the other players that are not affiliated with the group do get it.
The AFK has to be afk for a certain time.
Just think of something. I'm done playing ranked after losing tons of games due to AFKs, that aren't being punished whatsoever.

AFK's are punished, though. To say they do not is a misconception.
Would still be abused. Sadly,you just have to push through. Even if the the duos don't get the loss prevented they would bite the bullet for the rest of the team seeing as how they were gonna lose anyway. Especially when people rage quit after feeding first blood or losing lanes really early.
This is not the solution. Why? Faliures like myself would just intentionally AFK if the matchup is bad, or if the team is losing.
BTW this idea has come up over and over and over and over again on forums: This is not the first time it has been suggested.
The better solution would be to hand out ranked game bans all over the place in ranked. At the moment you can get away with leaving lots of games before you get banned. This will keep people with bad internet connections away+trolls.
Another solution is simply don't be BRONZE lol. If people AFK a lot they are of course never gonna get out of Bronze so as long as you can get higher up in tier you should be fine.
