@Riot - Kayle

Riot, I wanted to take this opportunity to ask about Kayle. In my eyes, she's currently a very very weird by-product of an older kit design that works, technically, but is just overly awkward. The whole "melee character played at range because of E" is just bizarre to me, and I think she needs a minor rework to just scrap her E altogether and change her from a melee character to a ranged auto attack character. No one ever plays her without E being nearly permanently activated anyway, so why not save us the trouble of hitting E every 8 seconds and just make her ranged and give her a new E with the splash damage as a passive or something. It would certainly make her more consistent in terms of playstyle as well as making her an easier pick for new players since she is on the lowest end of the price range.

I would agree with everything you say.

I will say I think if they were to make this change to her E, she should be reworked all together - I think only changing her to ranged would make her a little too powerful so she would need to be changed around all together

Her E is a window of power. It won't get 100% active until you go for nashor+15% cdr runes, (lvl 15~18 with scaling runes). This means, during early game and lane phase, she has to choose between farming or to harassing with her E. This gives her a weakness early game.

Removing her E will only make her CDR runes into ap runes and they will probably nerf her damage to compensate that, negating her a spot in the top lane or mid lane, unless her E becomes something pretty broken. Considering her E would probably turn into a wave clear, that will turn her into an AP burst, defacing her whole kit.

It is a window of power, yes. But like old Ashe's toggle slow, I feel like the range could be made a permanent part of her kit without resorting her turn burst. The splash on E could still be a window of power to allow her better wave clear and kiting potential, even if she's got a ranged auto. So long as they don't increase or tinker with the ratios of her spells, I honestly see no difference in how she would be played if she had ranged autos with E remaining pretty much the same. I mean, she is being played in Mid and Top lane, so it's not a totally big stretch for her.

B-but the E active animation and sound on Aether Wing is so cool ;-;

Honestly, if they ever rework her, they need to keep her Q as a targeted slow or turn it into a skillshot stun. She needs some CC, or she´ll die to even a Sona.

Her heal will have to be kept as well as the MS boost, if they intend to keep her support-ish carry role.

Her E could be changed. I mean, it is the one thing that makes Guinsoo's Kayle BS as heck. She stacks it up in melee then baps you in ranged.

Her ult. Under no circumstances should it be changed in any way. It´s part of her kit. It´s part of who she is. Heck, it´s part of the whole angel theme.

Although i have seen Repertoir say something long long ago that he sort of wanted to turn Kayle into a AP Yasuo. I dunno if i was reading it wrong though.

But yeah, there isn´t much that can be done for her, rework-wise. Hopefully 6.9 will change her success into something less overwhelming.

Gotta keep my freelo away from the filthy hands of first timers.
