What if we buffed Alistar's AP scaling?

I know there was a time when jungle Alistar was popular, and I'd like to see him return (partially). I know everyone hates that Alistar knocks people away from their towers, but honestly if you let him get behind you (with or without his minions) then you deserve to get knocked away. And if your jungler is paying attention he should help you. I watch high ELO games and the junglers know where each other are at all times. It's all about vision. Anyways, Blitzcrank pulls people away from their towers (with no risk to himself at all), and for some reason we hate Alistar knocking people away from them. Blitzcrank has 2 abilities that scale extremely well with AP. Alistar has ZERO. I'm comparing them because they both cause a lot of disruption. The difference is that Alistar actually puts himself in danger when he tries to make a play.

Alistar's already a broken support.

Meanwhile Blitzcrank causes just as much disruption, doesn't put himself at risk, and has good AP scaling.

blitzcrank doesn't have a malphite ult on a 10-20 second CD

blitzcrank won't build ap because that's retarded

The difference between those two is that Alistar has damage reduction with his ult; so he can tank damage while building damage (assuming he ever got his ratio's buffed; it'd be pretty nasty.)

You don't need to increase his AP scaling to make him jungle viable. Just up his damage to minions and monsters.

If you want alistar to be a jg toplaner again I recommend bringing back the 100% bonus damage on monsters to his passive or just buff the numbers and scalings of his passive this wouldn't make him any better of a support

Alistar is already first pick/ ban in almost every region while blitz get no play, I think your comparison in not very good.

What does that have to do with anything? Just because he's popular it doesn't mean he's strong.

...What. If something is pick/ban almost everywhere THAT MEANS THEY ARE STRONG. There is a reason a champion would be pick/ban, and it's not "he looks cool".

Also, Blitzcrank's Q can be dodged which makes him almost useless for the next 9.6-20 seconds. Alistar's WQ cannot.

Except Ali is very strong and you're delusional if you think he's not.

That's why he has the lowest win rate among supports, right? I don't have numbers at the moment, but I'm sure his win rates aren't that high in diamond+ either.

Winrate by itself doesn't determine a champs strength. Lee sin has a lower winrate and still sees professional play globally.

Again, that doesn't mean he's good. Win rate is the only thing that matters.

No. If that were true. Mid Azir would be desperately in need of buffs as he has a worse winrate by nearly 2% (45% winrate) at platinum to challenger . But he sees regular competitive play in pro leagues and performs well.

Winrate by itself is a meaningless statistic.

Alistar needs a 100% reduced cc time during his Q to even think about a single buff to his kit.

Have you ever seen an Alistar Headbutt-Pulverize into a Yasuo Last Breath? Have you seen an Alistar Headbutt-Pulverize into an Orianna Command: Shockwave? How about Kalista Fate's Call into Pulverize? Trust me, Alistar is amazing and he doesn't need buffs. The only thing he needs to do is get a 3-man Pulverize or higher. If he does that, he's doing a great job. His job isn't to delete the enemy with AP Ratios, it's ramming your face into the enemy and smashing the ground and make them completely unable to do anything while your team wrecks them. I mean his scalings aren't terrible but he's meant to be a Tank. Hell, if you position extremely well and you communicate well, you can Headbutt the enemy Carry into your team. Oh yea, and has it been mentioned that Knock-ups are not mitigated by anything including Tenacity and cannot be Cleansed? It's literally the strongest CC in the League.

And again, if you build a team around him, he will absolutely dominate. In The League of Knock-Ups and Teamfights, he's an extremely potent support.
