Walk up to minions as ADC, dodge Q, dodge W, he presses E, you're now at half hp. Walk up to minions and don't dodge Q you're dead. His cooldowns are EXTREMELY low. His mana costs are essentially non-existent. His range is massive. Why is he still in bot lane? Get him to mid where he belongs or give him more counterplay.

As long as you get the jump on him with literally anything, you win by default.

Even a full brand combo won't kill a squishy, unless he is well ahead and has some items. And he'd still need ignite. With adc help he can get a kill, but don't forget the enemy botlane also has a support to help. Don't forget there are plenty of bot lane supports who, if you get caught once by them, will cause you to get straight murdered. Aka, blitz, thresh, pyke. There are bot lane mage supports with nearly equal damage in lane, but even better range and cc (lux and vel). Also, the claim that brand doesn't use much Mana is a straight up lie. It's very easy to go oom in lane if you spam abilities, especially if you miss...

Butterwood1 votesCompletely agree with this. I went on a supp losing streak recently and decided to play Brand every time I played support this weekend. Average score was 11/5/10 and I hadn't played Brand in ranked since season 3 or 4. When I face a GOOD Brand bot lane it's very apparent.

The fact that you CANT walk up and farm means you lose lane control get pushed under tower lose cs, lose plates, basically conceed your lane because they out push you. Most supports don't know how to play against him so they just hang out behind the marksmam the whole time. Mages bot are just oppressive by nature because their kits were designed to blow up squishies, mainly marksmen.
