Will ryze maintain his high skillcap

I like ryze. After the rework, I couldn't play him. I tried. I kind of got the whole wqeq combo while the passive was up but haven't mastered it. I haven't played much of him when he was back. Now you just put the e on and root them for a q. Assuming ur not bashing ur face on the keyboard, and just kind of casting spells, your e should be up since it's a 2 sec cool down. and that resets the overload. The old combo is still a thing. he just has more options and counterplay. You can't be permasnared. Qweq seems like a good combo since they take around 1/3 hp. From what I've seen so far, he can now RYSE as a jg. He even still seems like a tanky mage. If you exclude amumu and cho'gath, he's the tankiest mage. Some say it's op. Ryze will be like how Jhin and ekko were. They think he will be broken top jg and mid (except no one could play Jhin correctly until they realised his play style is similar to kog maw). Do you think his skill cap will be high or will it be easy for people with not so good mechanics to play. If he's somewhat easy, instant new main.

high skill cap? For starters, he has no high skill cap, he is incredibly easy with a point and click root, at least morgana has to actually skill shot it. Secondly, I highly doubt they will make him harder to play, Cassiopeia was once the queen of positioning skillcap, now she doesn']t rely on poison positioning anymore. They dumb down champions and it actually annoys me.

You need to hit the buttons in a rapid succession while his passive is up and you may missclick and lose out on dmg. The permaroot made it so he had no counterplay. Morgana's root is 2-3 seconds. RYSE has it at 1-1.5 seconds. Statistically speaking, your saying a not so powerful point and click makes him easy. The permaroot can only happen when you have the combo ready. You also need to get the whole muscle memory down with the qwqe combo and know when to start the combo. If you can't master that, you can't play ryze. Also there's a small window for it to happen and only for 5 spells. Post rework, you can combo all you want. Obviously you don't want to mindlessly cast all your spells. You need to learn Combos and know when to use them. Single target or multiple enemies. Beginning of teamfight or clean up. You need to take that into consideration. If you want to know the meaning of easy, look at pre rework ryze. All spells were point and click and the passive lowers cool downs with each spellcast while being permanently active. Bash what keyboard on your face then watch a live stream and play dark souls at the same time.
