Why does this board think immobile mages are bad?

The three best mages in the game right now and easily top 5 mid laners are immobile mages in Anivia, Brand and Viktor.

You know what's bullshit about immobile mages? They have a ton of upfront bullshit power that you can't really outplay because they're immobile. Nobody bats an eye at this but immobile mages have consistently been top tier as any other mobile class. But what this board doesn't realize is most immobile mages are 100% bullshit to play against.

Shower me in downvotes, I don't care. There's a reason why many of them get nerfed pretty substantially when they become popular because they're so overtuned to make up for their immobility that they're just straight bullshit and unfun to play against and completely oppressive. It's not because of some hidden agenda or bias at riot, immobile mages are and have been bullshit forever.

Same for some "melee" champions, they get so much compensation for not having a ranged auto attack that being melee for them hardly counts as a weakness.

Ahri, Azir, Cait, Le Blanc, Lissandra, and Ziggs are the only ranged champions with both cc and mobility. (If I missed any feel free to point it out) Mean while, so many melees with a ton of cc and mobility, cc immunity, silences, etc. all while being tankier. Nice bias though.

A lot of it is slows and/or MS buffs, but those were not excluded. There are several with hard CC and/or dashes/blinks too.

Doesn't Zed ultimate always puts him behind you when he re-appears? It's easy to hit Zed with CC when his ults teleports him, unless you meant try to hit a Zed that is about to ult you, in which case...it's some times best to just wait until he does and save your CC when he appears.

Zed will shit on you before he ults, and if you try to cc him, he will shit on you after his ult.

The drawback though is that (being an immobile mage) you are an easy as fuck target to wipe off the map for assassins or other bursty characters. Zed is a prime example right now of what happens when a champion doesn't have to choose between damage and mobility. He goes in on whatever target he wants, kills them instantly, and automatically has a way out because hurr durr fuck you
