The rework ought to be reverted because if anything the rework totally fucked nearly all of the top lane malzahar matchups by making it near Impossible for ALL bruisers to ever hope to compete against him with his new passive.
I kind of feel sorry for OG purple kush mains. Theyre about to enter dark times with the R gutting malzahar is going to semi-righteously receive.

It was a mechanic that a good malzahar would ABUSE the hell out of.
Even then, it was only a good idea for SOME skillshots. Miss management of the voidling would get you killed more often then proper management would save you. So when riot changed his voidling body block into a spell shield that Blocks EVERYTHING (mostly). They turned a play that only a good malz was able to do, into something completely brain dead. While increasing its power tenfold.
Just revert the damned rework already. He was more balanced before, and when you consider how many more MR and survival options there are for the champs malz counters (QSS builds into a damn good item). Malz would be very actively balanced now vs when he was reworked.
