Idea: Ekko's ult clone can trigger W stun

SteelMankind··2 votes·511 views

Title. Makes sense thematically (the W is called parallel convergence and is an alternate-reality Ekko setting up the W hemisphere; from the perspective of that Ekko who's to say that the Ekko in our timeline and the ult clone Ekko are any different).

Gameplay-wise, it could make some cool outplays (like getting away from people who are chasing him or setting up a big damage ult).

Thoughts?

No. Ekko is already on the borderline of being overpowered.

He does not need buffs.

Maybe if the clone could trigger a weaker stun? I think giving it the full amount would be a bit too strong. Or maybe just a slow? Not sure if it already slows without Ekko triggering the stun...Would be a cool idea though.

It's a cool idea. Might not be very accessible, and might confuse best-use cases, but thematically it's pretty cool

Ekko would lose outplay potential from it though. One of the semi-well known tricks is to place your W about 1s behind you, then ult back onto it. They take the burst from your ult, and the stun.

He actually wouldn't. Rather than ult -> stun, he stuns -> ults. The latter of which is preferable because it gives him more options.
