He's pretty good in lane, but compared to Orianna he falls off really fast and can't fight anything tanky
It doesn't help that he needs a Brutalizer to function, but the flat pen doesn't work with Last Whisper very well
Riot needs to add some AD items already, especially something to deal with tanks as an AD caster

AbiwonKenabi3 votesZed having weaknesses--like having trouble against tanks--is a GOOD thing. No champion should be good at everything. Further, Zed should always be building BoRK as it's a great item for him in general and can help him against tankier targets. Lastly, Zed shouldn't be targeting tanks anyways, unless it's 1v1 and he's split-pushing or something.
Zed has some great strengths as is: he's a very high mobility assassin, he has an excellent laning phase even for a melee vs ranged, and he's one of the best split-pushers in the game. A lot of people think he's too strong, but I personally think he is very close to balanced. He has the right amount of weaknesses and strengths.
