Zed was top 5 in 92 of them.
These are the only champions with comparable ban presence among all patches.
Are we really going to keep claiming that Darius' design is healthy?

I dont think Darius is overpowered by any means but he is scary to lane against. I don't see anyone banning him unless they play top lane because he really is a smack top lane and split kinda guy. Sure he can teamfight with flash and resets but I have yet to seen a high enough level darius to say holy fuck this champs busted. He gets kitted so easily and slows destroy him. He is also bad in fights where you can out sustain him. I wouldn't call him weak I just dont think hes broken or op
The only thing I dislike about Darius is the current Ghost Flash meta on him.
Ghost eliminates his counterplay and is way too strong of a power boost for him, allowing him to easily space his Q while still being able to stick to his target.
Honestly Ghost is an issue because the only time anyone ever runs it is to eliminate the counterplay kiting presents. Tryndamere, Olaf, Nasus, etc.
Like if Ghost was removed right now Darius' winrate would probably plummet.
Edit: talking about laning. I know he needs it for postlane but the problem is in lane all the intricate interactions with Darius get thrown out the window the moment he pops ghost. Yeah it's a 3 min cd spell but usually it's at least a kill or enemy flash every 3 mins.
Why do people ban Darius when an objectively better version exists

i ban darius because i like to play immobile melee champions and i dont want to get zoned because he decided to walk in lane tvm
Darius has one of the traits many top laners have nowadays. He is so good at one thing, which is dueling melee champions with ease, but he's basically sub-par on everything else. He can't catch up to people unless he gets Ghost, he gets poked extremely easily, he has nothing to kite you with etc.
Many champions have this weird trait, like Kled, who's just really good against healers.
I think Darius should be nerfed because having a champion that eliminates the laning phase itself of a whole class is not exactly healthy design. He's just too good at it.
I think it's less about him being op and more about people just not wanting to play against him.
It´s almost funny how people are so intent on denying statistics&numbers.
Like last week i was arguing with a guy who kept telling me that Ahri cant oneshot anything, literally anything, i pull out some quick calculations and post what i factored it and the result i got that that it´s actually really easy once she has Luden+sorc+oblivion orb, heck she can even do it even if only barely if she goes zhonya second item.
What happens?
Guy links me a video of some pro saying that Ahri is currently not good because she does not oneshot without going into detail at all and the guy uses this as the reason to claim that i was completely wrong and there was no way Ahri could ever possibly oneshot anything.
Then i go out of my way to actually write my entire line of calculations down to prove it, again, and what does he do? He goes : "No :C You are wrong, pro said it so it must be true even if you have all this stuff to prove you´re right!"
The man despite supposedly being an Ahri main did not even seem to know that half her Q came through as true damage and i am just sitting there face palming myself wondering what the heck i was trying to accomplish by trying enlighten someone who was so intent on not listening they might as well have been deaf x)
