Lee sin does not belong in that list dude. He is still arguably one of the best junglers in the game.

Cassiopeia, Braum, and Tahm Kench also do not belong into this list, both of them are completely usable in SoloQ and strong in many situations.

Neither does Orianna. Kalista just received changes to make her better to meld around solo q. Reksai's isn't doing terrible in solo q. Shen (as well as most tanks) are struggling in the top lane in general.

well cass is being nerfed again

THE RlVER KlNG5 votes

tahm kench has been absolutely eviscerated and is getting nerfed again this patch, despite getting a skin

Infernape1 votes

I swear he's only usable top and that's only because he does absurd amounts of damage.

SithesisLord2 votes

Tahm Kench is only slightly viable in top lane right now and is downright troll pick in support anywhere other than maybe the highest ranks of Challenger, and of course, pro play.

Those who think Lee sin is anything more than tier 4 suck at a game

Those who don't agree with my opinion are bad and should feel bad. They also eat fermented sharkmeat believing it is good food. See? I can make an idiotic statement as well

Win Rate 48.50% 35 / 43 Play Rate 14.84% 1 / 43

OH hey he has a sub 50% winrate. Oh wait HE HAS ONE OF THE HIGHEST PLAYRATES IN THE GAME BY THOSE WHO ARE SKILLED!

Which means...gasp...players who are good at the game play Lee Sin much more than other junglers because he's...dare I say it? Dare I believe it? A good champion.

Take off LeeSin and add Zac.

And I just want to have my season 6 Azir back...

God please no, season 6 azir was one of the most cancerous things to play against.

You missed Elise

Elise is very strong in SoloQ if you can play her properly. She is essentially an AP Lee Sin, it is just that Elise does not appeal as much to people as Lee Sin.

She’s entirely too team reliant for soloq. Her damage isn’t high enough to get kills by herself, and she isn’t tsnky enough to survive any real level of burst. So she kinda just plays this support mage who cuts through tanks.

I would add Corki to the list.

You could also make an argument for Akali, specifically her zoning potential.

Getting there sometime soon: Irelia Aatrox Galio

I hope you are right about Irelia :)

Lee and Ori are good on Solo Que and you didn't include Ornn nor Galio, do you even know what you are talking about?

Moonscourge4 votes

And all of them are perfectly viable, Cass even being the highest winrate champ and getting nerfed because of how good the Q max build is/was.

Dr Dog4 votes

cassio orianna and lee dont belong there, hell both lee and cassio are great in solo queue rn, your missing Galio Zac Elise and Corki

doodlebob6664 votes

Lee cassio and ori do not belong on that list

Agent Corgi3 votes

I don't think Braum Braum is THAT bad. In a meta where people play stuff like Zyra Zyra or Brand Brand Support, Braum just simply get's poked to death & there's not really all that much he can do about it. I think he's pretty niche at the moment, not decent but not trash either.

Hayaishi23 votes

Shitty balancing at its finest.

Let's ruin the characters for their average playerbase because of competitive play.

Makes no sense.

Orianna? neither unusable nor broken

Rek'Sai, Cass and Lee Sin can be taken off.

Ori is questionable. The rest definitely belong.

Also add Zac Gnar to the list. Good riddance to Gnar though, unfun to lane against.

KogMaw sadly

Thefrostyviking1 votes

I mean kog sucks anytime divers, assassins and burst are common.

So he´s just bad because meta more than anything, just look at all the top marksmen having a heap of self peel and protection like vayne/lucian/sivir/kai´sa.

Gamecube55001 votes

i guess you're right, i mean with a good comp and the right circumstances, kog can do well in solo queue, i've done it a bunch

If the playrate matched then I would agree with you, but its very high, which is a testament to the character's flexibility and usefulness.

Thefrostyviking1 votes

But how reliable is that?

Having to have a favorable teamcomp, praying to heavens the enemy teamcomp or a specific pick doesnt just shut you down, game not ending too soon.

In my mind it doesnt seem like it has a good chance of working generally at all, and his winrate/pickrate status seems to support this idea.

Logistically, the play rate would go down based on how few teamcomps would work with the champion. Such as Kogmaw. Lee Sin is played in a variety of team comps because he is a jack of all trades. he has damage, clear speed, some sustain, shields, CC, and very high mobility. So he gets palyed more often and as a result of being played 11% of the time of all games, his win rate drops.

He's never been a major competitive presence, hasn't been nerfed a single time since release, and is completely viable in solo queue.

Don't think that is a problem, it just proves they are technically difficult, high skill champions.

No, its that their kits are now balanced around what ALLIES can do with them, not what THEY DO. Its like making morgs w do no damage at all, and causing it to grounded the enemies, and increasing the stun on her ult if enemies are in her grounded. It results ina champ with so much intense enable potential that they make champs that were balanced around the enemies being able to dodge or react(zoe/nidalee/velkoz/darius/blits/pykeetc) broken. So in proplay that enable potential gets a teamcomp around it (malphite yasuo wukong style) and its impossible to play against. Think Zac or Ryze .. Neither is so difficult to play that they should be at 40% winrate as the most common combo is the best for them in most cases, and we have all seen bad zeds and talons still win in lower elos anyway so skill shouldnt be limiting these champs winrates, no its the fact they CAN enable others well that means riot has to gut their numbers so hard that they cant be played ata ll. Ryzes winrate is actually altered in solo que not because the ryze players are bad, but because when he pushes R, the people that are SUPPOSED to be in hte R leave the R, and those that are supposed ot be OUT OF HTE R run into the R. Results in your Anivia and your Jhin teleporting 2v5 into the enemy team instead of your Galio and Nunu . :(

Sire Hippington1 votes

wouldn't say all of them are unusable in soloQ, Cassio braum and tham are certainly strong there aswell, Seju's not that bad, Ori is always viable and shen only needs one reliable partner, kallista also is strong if you're duo. I'd rather add akali, victor, orn, mao and irelia to that list(akali and irlia may be common in soloQ, but they perform poorly outside the highest elos) Trundle also is a clear case for that list, and olaf basically invented the issue...

Can we get a list of the most reliable solo queue champions and have it range to the least reliable?

PopcornBunni1 votes

It differs by rank. Late game champions are better in lower elos where they can reach their stride, while higher elos are more focused on early game threats.

Both cases have similar kinds of trends though

Top is ran by splitpushers across various elos - Tryndamere Jax Nasus Sion Jungle is dominated largely by level 2 duelists - XinZhao Vi Udyr Hecarim Mid is the land of Assassins and adjacent friends - Zed Talon Irelia Akali Bot is whatever the pros were seen using three months ago Support at least right now is APCs - Annie Brand Zyra Velkoz

What I am seeing that at my current elo of silver/ gold, games either run too long or they are 15 min stomps. For someone who is competitive, this pattern is annoying af to get down. If I play an early game champ, if I do not close quickly or my team just can't decide to stay on the same page, I fall off and have to depend on them. If I get a late game champ, as you can see what happens, you never reach your stride, or the game is happening so fast that you dont even have time to farm.

So at my elo, it's a coin flip to the point I actually have to pick champs who are viable no matter how early or late the game goes. It's just a matter of figuring out what those champs are.

This Galio Nerf is unfair! On top of that, Morello has been "nerfed" in gold value as well. I mean, at least give him lower CDs if u want to become simply a Tank OR give him less Mana costs. The damage nerf is already big!

hrooza dota 1 votes

tbh i find it perfectly fine to have (master me or dont play me) kind of champs

tho why braum is there? he does not have that high skill floor and dont demand much team work to be viable
