I'm unable to play normals with my low rated friends. Can this be fixed?

And by 'unable' I mean if they play with me, they get matched up against high Diamond players and stomped, which makes them not want to play with me. Can we at least even out the ratings, instead of just dumping some random Diamond players into the game, in who knows what lane?
