Randuins omen is the most efficent armor items in the game has a damage reduction vs crits (-20%) 400 hp 60 armor (640 effective hp vs physical) has a slow built into it. question though why does it need a slow if the symbol looks like a massive shield? how would you use it efficently in a best way possible and not in a offensive fashion (fun fact randuins is probably the one of the worst items of armor vs yi imo due to not being able to slow on its active or his attack speed and its passive -20% crit strikes since he doesnt go crit either.)

Smack it into the ground, releases a shockwave that makes your opponents stumble.

It's enchanted, like every other non-basic item clearly is.

lol this topic is game related my other one is about how yi's and wukong's wuju style are different from each other. that one would be lore/gameplay connection while this topic is pure gameplay. : . )

now to answer your post about how it slams into the ground im guessing its breums shield (or some similar towershield type based on appearance ofc)

i edit alot so sometimes my posts are incomplete before the 2nd part that pops into my mind.

Oh.

Well you can use it defensively to slow someone down from reaching your frontline, or other things like that. CC is always both offensive and defensive, just depends on the situation and how you're using it. Locking down their assassin is both going to save your ADC and let you murder their face in.

Also, it wouldn't be fully useless against Yi - Some of his builds do incorporate crit, and he won't have ult if you catch him out. But yeah you're better running Thornmail for him to poke himself to death, and to negate his healing. Maybe Thornmail and a health-heavy item.

i didnt say its fully useless im saying its the one of the least gold efficent item vs his on hit ultimate activated build next to frozen heart (since frozen heart has cdr and pure armor = effective hp its just next to it but thanks to the attack speed reduction aura makes up for it for gold efficiency vs yi ofc it may not attack speed slow him but it will slow his auto attacking teammates).
