What gives more IP: Winning a Vs AI game or losing in Normals?

I'm typing this while laning against top, waiting for his minions to get under my tower so I can play for 15 seconds, and while I was doing so, I wondered if it was more worth IP to play PvP or PvE. I don't have all the champions yet and need all the IP I can get.

I only started playing when the [sg-poppy] skins got released so all the new player advice I can get is helpful. As is, my most played character is Poppy with 142406 mastery points. I'd like to have a lot more characters, but it's a slow grind to afford them.

Depends on length of game, and what level of bots.

You won't lose 100% of the time in normals though, so it's almost certainly better on average.

I have about a 25% winrate in normal pvp (draft), for what difference that makes.

That won't last as long as you're not actively inting. Even if you're a literal treestump, you'd eventually fall to the point where everyone is a clueless monkey who isn't quite sure what the controls are, and the game becomes a 50:50 decided by minions.

Everyone except the literal best players in the world and the literal worst players eventually settle at around a 50% winrate as their mmr adjusts and matches them against people who are around their skill level, so provided you're not in the latter category (who I suspect are actually relatively skilled players intentionally tanking their mmr and are better at losing than actual bad players), then you'll get to a 50% win ate.

16~~20 minute bots gives me about 37IP. (181~~187 minus the 150 from first win of the day)

a 20minute surrender from the enemy nets me about 60ip.

a 20minute surrender from us and i get about 41.

so id say the 50 average from normals is faster than the bots.

the game does stop giving you the standard 2.1 or 2.2 IP per minute after the 40minute mark in normals so thats the ideal time to end.

if you only have time to play 1 game make sure its bots, that way you guarantee your first win of the day bonus 150 IP.

(if you are unsure of how much league you're going to play today go for first game bots, also serves as a warmup, then dont worry about what else you do in normals afterwards and just play league) ((its the same 2.2ish IP per minute spent in game so it really is impossible to farm IP))

there used to be an other method where you had a base IP gained per match and you could farm that in cop 3v3 in like 4minute wins. that was the fastest for gaining IP. but you need basically 3 adcs or ranged auto attackers in the bot lane to do it.
