Why should I have to complete promos again for a rank I've already been in 4 times.

Been Silver I 3 entirely different times, have to complete promos to get back every time. WHY. I've already proven that I belong there by winning promos 4 times to get there, but getting demoted for afks / etc. I'm not complaining about the afks, I'm complaining about promos.
