Toxic destroyed the game's senior playerbase

I remember years ago my friend and I were talking about how all of the good players got banned and left the game. I enjoyed playing against people that actually "gave a shit" about the game. Honestly I loved seeing the community bash on players using "shitty" champions. Or yelled at them because someone else isn't trying as hard as they were.

We would play a match and wonder how people even lose certain matchups in mid. Like dying to a Twisted Fate 1v1, or someone getting Yasuo'd. Then I scroll over to take a peek at what they're doing, and it's literally my teammate standing in one spot and letting the other guy kill him with no regards to backing at low health or anything.

Some games we would play and our jungler would legitimately not do anything. Just 100% killing monsters like it was a PVE game lol.

The reason I played league in the first place was mainly for the PvP, you don't have to worry about gear or anything like in World of Warcraft (that game's "PvP" has gone to shit too, especially arena).

The pro scene this year was not interesting to watch at all -no mechanically challenging champions played in the solo lanes -kaisa's damage should have been nerfed, a part of me says this is where game dev's completely ignore the pro's and change things for the better. -finals mid picks lost FNC the games. Irelia into Lissandra, Azir? wtf, Viktor... mid.

Queue times are still fast But doesn't really function well imo. People will always despise the 50/50 winrate system and want MMR to be shown. Pretty silly to see a game rely on a third party website (op.gg) shame on the devs I guess.

On a positive note

More people seem to watch league nowadays than they do play. But I'm 100% positive people aren't watching those streamers for the game.

If you gave a shit about the game, you would try and improve your gameplay so you could experience better game quality. I think with the honor system this "toxic" thing you speak of as if it ruined the game has actually promoted Riot to create a system that promotes good behavior.

It's not untrue that toxic players shun away the long term players. (Anyone prior to Seasom 4.) Also them getting banned entirely depends on what they did, but Riot made it perfectly clear that they will not tolerate a repeat toxic player. As I understand it, they get a warning, a suspension, and then termination. That's 3 chances to not yell at the jungler for "Not doing anything. " As a jungle main who ended this season in low gold, a step down from last years Platinum, Jungling is not always easy.

There are so many factors of being jungler. What Champ you are, your teammates champions, your enemies champions, if the jungler has good map awareness, if the jungler, if you invade or get invaded, if those invades are successful or not, how aggressive the enemies are compared to your teammates, if you are pushing into the enemies, if you are getting pushed, what level the jungler is, what gear the enemy has, what gear you and your teammates have, if that jungler has good gank utility, if that jungler got auto filled, even if the junglers forgot to buy items at start. It happens. The list goes on.

There are games I play where the team is always getting pushed and I can gank easier with Warwick or Zac. Other times where the enemy is pushed and I cant feasibly kill them without getting killed myself. I've been on huge steam rolls and I've also been the 1 and 4 at 7 minutes. It's not fun, especially with teammates who bombard the junglers with anger and hatred. The jungler is often just as frustrated as you are.

In regard to your other points, like players letting themselves get killed or whether they give a shit. Ultimately this is a video game. In the unlikely event that I have a child or if god forbid I get seriously injured, I am not putting league on my highest priority. Now there are players who simply dont care and play to the deficit of their teammates. Sure, hate on them get them banned or whatever but that doesnt mean that ALL players dont care.

I like PVP too, and that's why I like League more than WoW.

Regarding the pros, they are still pros nonetheless. It doesnt matter if they play Master Yi or Zoe. It doesnt change my likelihood of watching them cause I want to PLAY League of Legends, not watch it. I can always admire and respect amazing players who do amazing things, I also see it outside of pro play where I'm at. When a Cass can triple kill a tanky ass Sion, a Veigar, and a Kaisa, it's pretty damn cool! Regarding champion mechanics, sure it's easy to point and click an Annie Q or Nocturne Ult, but it still takes practice to get good at it, to be able to predict movements and attack accordingly. Whether its using a Jhin ult or a Malphite ult, it will always take time to master mechanics to make them fun to watch.

Queue times are fast cause lotsa people still play.

More people watching League= more $$$$$. I imagine the K/DA skin line and YouTube music video which was no. 8 on trending when I first watched it, was funded in part by people watching League.

Take my words as you will but they are my opinion. I have one too. XD

I'm boosting 24/7 and it's like all the good players are smurfing while all the boosted apes play with each other in 'high elo' I swear.
