Why does pantheon still have a point and click stun

Soul Dealer··3 votes·2,118 views

I was so excited for the pantheon rework because I thought they were finally going to get rid of this stupid ability. Nope. There is no reason for him to have a point and click stun that is also a leap. Please riot just get rid of it and replace it with something else. This is not even mentioning it also has a root now as well. Smh.

Comet Spear (Q) 40 Mana 10/9.5/9/8.5/8s Cooldown Tap: Pantheon thrusts his spear, dealing 75/115/155/195/235 (+100% bAD) physical damage to enemies hit. Refunds x% of Comet Spear's cooldown. Hold: Pantheon hurls his spear, dealing 75/115/155/195/235 (+100% bAD physical damage to the first enemy hit and 50% less to further targets. Deals 155/240/325/410/495 (+200% bAD) physical damage to targets below 25% health instead. Mortal Will Bonus: Deals an additional [20+13 per lvl] (+100% bAD) physical damage and slow the target by 25% for 2.5 seconds. Mortal will bonus damage: 20/33/46/59/72/85/98/111/124/136/149/162/175/188/201/214/227/240

Shield Vault (W) 55 Mana 13/12/11/10/9s Cooldown Pantheon dashes to an enemy, dealing 60/80/100/120/140 (+100% AP) physical damage and stunning them for 1 second. Mortal Will Bonus: Pantheon's next attack strikes 3 times, dealing a total of 135% physical damage.

Aegis Assault (E) 80 Mana 22/20.5/19/17.5/16s Cooldown Pantheon braces his shield and engages enemies in a chosen direction for 1.5 seconds, becoming immune to damage from that direction and dealing [100% AD] physical damage over the duration. The last hit slams with Pantheon's shield, dealing 55/105/155/205/255 (+150% bAD) physical damage.
Mortal Will Bonus: Duration is increased to 2.5 seconds (dealing [167% AD] physical damage over the duration). Recast to end early (Pantheon still slams with his shield as the last hit). Pantheon is slowed by up to 50% while moving backwards or sideways. Damage to minions is reduced by 50% Damage to non-Epic monsters is reduced by 33%.

Grand Starfall (R) 100 Mana 180/165/150s Cooldown Pantheon gathers his strength to leap high into the air, then crashes down as a meteor at the target area a few seconds later. Deals up to 300/500/700 (+50% AP) magic damage to enemies in a line (decreased by up to 50% at the edges of the area). Grand Starfall instantly readies Mortal Will.

He doesn't have a root. Read his kit.

Q does damage. Stab halves the cooldown. Throw does bonus damage to enemies who are low. Passive adds more damage and a slow. W stuns, leaps, and does damage. Passive adds a three-hit auto at the end. E blocks incoming damage from the cast direction, dealing a small amount of AoE damage in front, finishing with a bash. Passive adds more duration. Ult makes you channel, leap into the air, and come down at the target location.

What made you SO convinced he had a root that you're willing to be an ass about it?

And now he isn't even looking back here because he called wrong with proof of how the champion works.

TF has a point and click stun too. So what? At least Pantheon has to go balls deep!

Tf’s you can play around, it has a deley you can see coming. Panths is instant.

It's a pro and a con. If pantheon can't see you he can't execute it. Skill shots can follow you into bushes. I used to get so pissed playing Poppy because it's a point and click but you need the angle for the stun and with bushes you could have the perfect alignment but it was impossible to deliver a blow. Anyway, that's part of Pantheon's identity still. His Q isn't point and click anymore.

And TF is intentionally kept very weak for that reason. Panth and TF have the same playstyle: use ult to teleport to a target, point-and-click stun, skillshot that won't miss because the target is stunned, more targeted damage. TF just has a bit more range while Panth has a bit more defense. After the rework, Panth will switch that targeted damage for another skillshot that won't miss.

I mean, Udyr has a stun auto. If he flashes his auto instantly goes off, so... not to mention Udyr can stun multiple people then stun them all again a second later.

Hey, at least he doesnt get a free auto attack ignore on cast.

I would play against a Jax over a pantheon any day

he has that stun because rito can't rely on his players being able to use it as a skillshot.

KFCeytron1 votes

I have no idea why they kept the target stun dash in there. The whole problem was that if Pantheon was ever in range of you he could hit you with targeted CC, unload a couple more spells, and walk away. And he can still do that. It doesn't matter that his new Q is a skillshot if the target will still be stunned anyway. That was the one part of his kit that needed to be completely removed and replaced, and it was kept intact. I can't believe I voted for Pantheon in rework surveys just for Riot to not fix the part of his kit that eliminates counterplay.
