PSA - Champ Shards and Mastery
In the next few patches, Riot will add a purchase to the shop. This purchase will be available for RP or IP, and it will be a random champion shard for Hextech crafting. This will allow you to bypass hoping a chest will drop the shard you need, and allow you to either break down shards you don't need into Blue Essence or luck out and get the shard of the champions you're trying to level. So please, refrain from posting about 6 and 7 RNG difficulties until the fix is in place.
