Why Jinx Shouldn't Be Nerfed (please read before downvoting)
Jinx hasn't been changed (except for that ultimate buff, which isn't much of an issue) in a significant amount of time. No buffs, no nerfs, no nothing. She is at the same power level as she was 9 patches ago.
"But Sly, she has a 54% win rate! That's too op!"
no...it isn't. What has changed is the meta and common picks. If you want to "nerf" Jinx, it shouldn't be a direct nerf to her kit because the last 800 patches of her having an "acceptable" win rate with her kit have proven it isn't op. No, to nerf Jinx you'd have to buff her counters that are weak atm (
) as an indirect nerf. Here we are with a champion who is strong purely because of the current meta, not because of her kit or her numbers or anything other than the fact that she is playing against champions she does well against. This situation is as close to balanced as Riot can ever actually be.
Just let a champion with a balanced kit do well because of a meta without having a knee-jerk "must nerf this" reaction for the simple fact that she is doing well. There is nothing to complain about except her win rate, meaning there is nothing to change about her except her win rate. If you don't like her win rate, you have to change the win rate of other champions. That's real balancing, not..."oh she has a high win rate so she must be op"
to clarify: buff her competitors (because she is doing well in the face of having no competitors) not her actual balanced kit
