The answer from Riot to all the game issues: Add more damage

I really don't get it. A lot of people are sick and tired of all the damage creep in this game and what do you do? You add a new keystone conquer so fighters can deal true damage to the champs they shouldn't be beating and beating the purpose of duskblade by nerfing it hard but at the same time buffing all its users so they actually reach their powerspike sooner in the game hence more damage. I remember that the balance philosophy was that by adding a specific item for assasins that class could be balanced around the item. It seems that has been throwed out the window.

Let me remind you that this shit all started when the mages got nerfed into the ground during season 5 with the failed mage update. Some mages that could deal with tanks couldn't do that any more and got relegated to the support role thus adc's became the only class to be able to beat them so we witnessed a 2 support with 3 adc's meta for the most of season 6 and half of season 7. Then we got lethality meta so supports got buffed to a point where adc's became sentry turrets you just had to protect. Pick a heal and shield slave and spam it on the adc who can misplay, outposition, get caught etc it doesn't matter he will draintank everything anyway. Now we are moving into a meta where everyone is blowing up everyone so at some point tanks will be buffed what will lead to adc's being more broken etc and we are back to square one.

So I totally understand the harsh position fighters has been in to for the past 2 years but adding more damage was not the solution. The problem is that tanks are dealing too much damage. Tanks should have received base damage nerfs all across the board. When tanks are not by definition the second best class any more it means adc's (their natural counters) don't need to be that fucking broken neither any more. Then you nerf supports so fighters, assasins and mages actually have windows where they can kill the adc.

They want games to end fast so they can cram more money-grubbing pro matches into a tournament day. That's all I can figure. Everything in this game is balanced around pro play, because obviously a game with several million players should be balanced around the ~40 losers who dedicate their entire lives to it.

A while ago riot changed pro play so teams only played one game a day. Players hated that so riot changed pro play again to allow teams to play more games. There goes your first point.

Riot has said on record they balance for elo around plat. Second point, out the window.

Also, those losers make money playing video games and doing what they enjoy.

So rude.

Very well, I'll bite.

In regards to your first point, think about the classic principle of prosaic victual emolument. Provisional standardization has long since been proven to have no effect whatsoever on the methodology of victual emolument. The provisional standardization of the pro system does not attenuate the clear fact that pro gaming is Riot's way of instituting the mendacity of LCS play as the regula of prosaic victuals within Riot's central business model. There goes your first point.

As for the second, you've simply proven my point. If you've studied anything at all about integral numeration, you'd know that Platinum lies well within the qualitas obscuro of pro-tier play. One might argue that even high Gold falls within the range of numeration. The fact is that top tier play, which by logical extension of said numeration includes the practicable spectrum of Plat through LCS, is but a trifling number of the greater prosaic benefactor (lending to my previous point), and for Riot to draw on this as the central constituent datum informing its balance practices is absurd.

In so far as the final comment goes, studies have proven that pro gamers are heavily affected by Herschwald's principle of derivative delusion. I urge you to research as thoroughly as I have before accusing me of rudeness, my friend.

It is not, as a matter of fact. How could it be, when it addresses your points precisely? The odds of finding another's diatribe that so perfectly coincides with the points laid out in your post would be... beyond astronomical, I wager.

Do you do stand up? Can you get me Eddie Murphy's autograph?

I do stand up, but I don't do stand up. I also question your choice of Eddie Murphy specifically. A rather older figure in the sphere of standup.

I mean, tanks are busted too. LCS games these days often have three tanks. I'm so sick of seeing Sejuani and Zac. Assassins don't even see play right now. Maybe it's because the tanks are doing too much damage along with everyone else.

That being said, in soloqueue assassins do disgusting amounts of damage. Kha'zix remains one of the best champs to get freelo and Shaco has a stupidly high winrate.

I think the biggest problem was removing the runes. You no longer have the option of selecting armor / mr / hp runes. They should have buffed baseline defenses a lot more.

They did for tanks, actually. But I do think non-tanks deserve some more base defense buffs, too.
