Since when was snowballing a bad thing?

People act like it is the shittiest mechanic in the game, but it's in ALL games, literally. What game doesn't have a snowballing mechanic?

If somebody punishes a mistake, and they continue to push their advantage that is called snowballing.

Before you could rely on YOU snowballing if you played good every game, now you rely on the shittiest player not being in your team and feeding the snowballer on the other team

That's not a problem with snowballing then. That's a problem with this meta being dedicated to dog shit players "adc and supp players"

It's not that "if the other lanes can't snowball neither should bot." Which by the looks of every anti-snowballing thread seems to be the argument. It should be "mid and top should snowball better and bot should not snowball as hard."

the new runes let adc snow ball pretty damn hard... but they're just going to make turrets stronger---again.

Hopefully the new runes make everybody snowball hard.

No only some champs, more champs then now, but still only some champs. And it makes those that are already snowballer STUPID INSANE snowballers now.

Dominion didn't snowball.

The result was players had a never-say-die attitude since the game wasn't over until you were looking at the defeat screen. As a result, there was less toxic fuckery and more trying to win the match.

Dominion did snowball though.

If you captured 4 turrets to their 1 early on who got more points and had more control over the game?

It is literally innate in every game that isn't a "one off RNG game" like rock, paper, scissors or some bull shit.

No one.

Getting an early lead didn't give you any advantage at all, but it did help if you consistently played better than the enemy team and maintained that advantage. One of the last games in the Dominate Dominion tourney actually managed to turn around a victory from being down to a single Nexus HP left, it was pretty intense.

Let me see if I can find it.

There it is. Match starts at about 12:00.

Snowball - increase rapidly in size, intensity, or importance.

How is them having immense early pressure not snowballing? Imagine had red team grouped on one point to take it, they would've won. The reason Dominion isn't as snowbally is because your win condition isn't getting fed because you can't get fed really. Every time you kill somebody it also gives you a chance for a free turret, but you also can't back.

Moderation my honey buns. Snowball is atrocious now and gives the loser no chance of playing <3

sure I agree with that. I'm tired of these people who think games should last 40 or 45 minutes. How about if a team gets an advantage early and continues to push it they should be rewarded with a short game and a win.

After watching the worlds games I actually think it might be too EASY to come back from deficits. Especially depending on your team comp and pick.

Comebacks can ONLY happen if you have 1-2 LATE game champs on your team and they get Farm and the game lasts long enough.

If you dont have those things the game is over by 10m and is not fun.

Snowballing is bad because it means ONE mistake at lvl 1-3 seals who wins. You might as well go play Heads or Tales. Its more fun.
