Think we could buff Frozen Heart and Glacial Shroud? Give some better stats for a small price-up?

Make item 3024 1200g and add an extra item 1029 to the build order so it gives 40 Armor.

And make item 3110 3000g, toss 100 more Mana on and increase the passive Aura to 20%.

The game would benefit largely from some better tank items with better build paths to at least fight against the oppressive early game snowballing.

It doesn't matter how much armor you have. It feels useless.

I long for the old tank items, where we had multiple AoE auras and AoE debuffs that we would stack, and various people on a team would be fighting to purchase the Bulwark, or the Frozen Heart for the team, because the auras these items offered were so powerful and useful. Tanks need tools other than pure damage or CC to contribute to fights. Revamping and reintroducing aura items and AoE debuffs (beyond simple slows) on their items would be a fantastic way to enable actually TANK playstyles, instead of turning them into glorified bruisers with less mobility, less sustain, a little less damage and simply more CC.

I'd rather have a tank item that gives you %Damage Reduction that scales off of Armor/MR or HP, Melee Only of course.

Sad that the only %damage reduction items where/are designed for DPS'.

Honestly, I find that item hopeless, the mana it gives is useless because it is only buyable as a last/second last item. Its defensive stats are laughable adding 100 armor to a tanks build is sure to cross the line of diminishing returns (wow im 6% tankier) The cooldown reduction is great... but once again it's a late-game item so only 10% is going to count. The passive is god damn useless as a 300 gold dagger nearly negates it.

Frozen Heart is just one of many laughably bad tank items right now.

It doesn’t matter how much an item Gives in tank stats when %pen is so high.

Sounds nice, but there's the Rito's philosophy: buff tanks = give tanks more damage :/

Frozen Heart has always been one of my favorite armor items, so I'm all for buffs.

God I still remember Garen and Jarven winning in a 2v5 because of stacking Runic Bulwarks. Those were the days. Look at this busted, wonderful item; https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Runic_Bulwark

Also remember this item on Master Yi? https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Stark%27s_Fervor

No sarcasm, I miss these.

Frozen Heart needs a health component, perhaps a kindlegem thrown into it. It's a horrid item period, because there's so much dam armor shred/pen/true dmg in the game. YOU NEED HP! On an item, hence why thornmail got it and saw a surge in popularity despite it's dmg being weaker.

Remove the wardens mail, give it a kindlegem and makes it grand 400 HP, 60 armor, 400 mana, 20% CDR and its passive for 3000 gold.

partial issue is that a fair few mage tops can rush frozen heart into ADs and get damage from mana scaling, the ability to spam spells on cooldown even more, and lots of tankiness unless the person's running conq+cleaver (and even then the mage still dies marginally slower) so buffing it while they're still the way they are might be, Bad

Rather than increase the armor by a flat amount so people don't complain and say "BUT WHAT IF SQUISHY CHAMPS BUY IT" (even though raw defensive stats don't do crap)

What about either having it give % armor based on base armor of your champion or bonus, or total......whichever seems to make the most sense..

AlterMordred8/9/2019, 12:04:10 AM1 votes

Ezreal indirect buff but for tanks it wold help i guess

Ragnaveil8/9/2019, 3:43:00 AM1 votes

Rather rework it into a better item along with IBG (Ez players can deal with it)

DangerousOreo8/9/2019, 6:31:54 AM1 votes

maybe buff item 3211 to because mages are broken as fuck?

Nasus still gets oomed regardless of your hypothetical mana buff to FH. Meanwhile we have manaless or almost manaless OP stuff dashing around.
