Rylais is too strong and potent of an item.

i dont get why it still hasnt been nerfed since the mage update, its too easily abused. like really the entire weakness point of a ult is that its suppose to be easily walked out of to avoid the damage, but you cant walk out of it when you are perma slowed... champions like would be so much easier to manage and balanced without the existence of this item.

the slow on aoe abilities needs to be significantly nerfed or outright removed.

those three aren't even the worst offenders.

I would go as far as saying AurelionSol and Taliyah can't be properly balanced because of Rylais. Especially Aurelion completely relies on the item to be able to do anything. Cassiopeia is pretty bad as well. She doesn't really need it to be effective, but a 40% permaslow on a targeted ability (Twin Fang) is certainly nice.

Rylais and slow items in general are in kind of an awkward spot. They offer the most benefits, if you don't have CC at all. Most other items further enhance aspects of your champion that are already strong. You wouldn't normally buy an on-hit effect item on a champion, that doesn't have some kind of on-hit effect anyway. Since cc doesn't stack you can't enhance a champion with alot of cc much by buying rylais. Maybe something like 10% - 20% slow, that stacks with other slows in some way would be worth looking at.

i feel like a champion such as AurelionSol kit should not be designed around how powerful rylais is. if that is the case you should just make Champion specific weapons like in Dota.
