A suggestion to fix the unique passive "Eternity"

for those that dont know, here is what Eternity does:

> 15% of damage taken from champions is gained as mana. Spending mana restores 20% of mana spent as health, up to 25 per cast (toggle spells heal for up to 25 per second).

no one really cares for this passive. you need to take damage in order to get the mana regen effect and the health restoration effect is pretty bad unless you spam abilities ALOT. my suggestion is to change it to be more in line with item 3812 or item 3046 for AP champions. Here is what i suggest the passive be changed to.

>Reduce damage taken equal to 5% of your max mana and gain mana equal to 15% of the post mitigation damage taken. Magical abilities that cost mana heal for 20% of the dmg dealt.

This is JUST an example. my main thought is to just turn the eternity passive into an alternate AP version of DD or PD. having to take damage in order to gain mana is just flat out horrible without some kind of sustain or dng mitigation to justify that.

Tanks love it actually. Maybe most AP champions don't care for it, but it's not necessarily for most AP champs

If you're suggesting changes that shift it away from tanks, I'd hope item 3001's version of the eternity passive stays as is

Though that's a pretty tanky passive. Is it flat damage reduction? Because I could see Ryze Cassiopeia and maybe even Karthus getting out of hand

the problem is, no tank is going to buy item 3030 which is a item that is fairly offensive more so than defensive. also, its still very bad even if you area tank. you are not going to go out of your way to get intentionally poked down by someone just to regain your mana. its just a really bad passive in general. amu is probably the only champ that goes OOM significantly enough in fights to benefit from it.

so yes id rather see the passive changed to be more geared towards AP carries the same way they did for DD. ever since spell vamp was erased from the game AP carries lost a cool niche to keep them sustained in fights or in lane. (i miss spell vamp Annie so much) . it was spell vamp was reworked into item 3146 Effect, but for some reason only known to God Riot decided to get rid of all healing effects from mage items EXCEPT gunblade, which is a hybrid item, and give them to ADs intead... as ADCs dont benefit enough from LS stacking.

idk about you, but if draven can heal 300 HP per axe AA, which only gets more insane with AtkSpd, then i think APs should be allowed to heal for atleast 25-50% of that amount per spell cast.
