"Vel'Koz takes no skill."

Said the Annie on the opposite team, who I thrashed in lane. Last I checked, skillshots are harder to land than point and click spells or short-ranged AOE instant stuns. "True damage ult OP." No, my PASSIVE does one instance of true damage during my ult, unless I land skillshots on you beforehand, which takes some skill.

Well she is playing Annie, so is probably quite a credible source on no skill champs.

I agree and disagree with Annie. There is the type of skill that is landing skillshots, and there is the type of skill that is knowing your champions weaknesses and having to play around that.

For instance, without her stun or flash, Annie cannot afford to push past the mid-line of the lane if she doesn't know where your jungle is or she is an easy gank. As long as you can land your E as Vel'Koz, you don't really need to worry about this.

I do agree that all champions take skill to use. All champions require complex decision-making. However, Vel'Koz also requires this decision-making to the same extent as Annie, in addition to having to land skillshots. I'm not saying "ANNIE IS A NOSKILL CHAMP" because she isn't. I just think it's silly that people try to justify your lead over them by claiming you're basically getting a free win because of the champion that you are playing.

Then again.... Vel koz literally can sit at max range and just spam spells..... With hardly any risk. Annie will have to burn a flash to get near him, but by her 6, you'll have bullied her from farm so hard it won't matter. So yes. In this case, you were playing a champ that took no skill in this setting. Just like playing xerath, syndra, or anivia vs annie.

Nice replying to an almost year old thread, lmao. If I just spam spell I'll go OOM buddy. I'm not saying that Annie takes no skill, but I'd say Annie is less mechanically challenging than Vel'Koz.

Less mechanically challenging, yes. But both champions aren't too difficult. No champion is really difficult (except like Kalista, Azir, and Draven). And in that match up, Annie vs Vel'koz, the Annie is going to need a lot more skill to come out of that lane ahead than the Vel'koz, even if Vel'koz takes "more skill" mechanics wise.

People are idiots.

Enough said.

Dude, point click stuns are SO hard to land, these days. You need to time it perfectly, and it always misses. kappa
