Is Taric's ultimate a strictly worse Bard ultimate?

Can somebody explain the differences to me other than Taric's being self-cast only? I know there's probably more than this, but I'm just curious what the other differences are.

It can be cast at two different spots, it can't miss, it doesn't effect enemies, you can move around and cast and attack during it. Trade offs being the smaller range, no catch enemy potential, and can't use it on towers or monsters.

It is almost entirely unlike Bard's ult.

Ohohohohohoh, this was what was confusing to me. I was reading it as Taric's ult also being a stasis. That completely changes everything.

Bards is a Stasis, meaning nothing can hit them and they cannot do anything...Tarics is an invulnerability, meaning his allies cannot take damage but can still move and deal damage

it's not just self-cast. if he has cast Bastion on an ally and they are away from him, they and everyone inside his ult's radius will also be invulnerable. this state of invulnerability is nothing like bard's ult because one can still move around. it is just like Kayle's ult, but can be used on more than one character. Bard's ult is pretty straight forward while Taric's does much more.

It's not like bard's ult at all. It's more like an AoE Kayle ult that has a time delay.

define worse, use it as the fight starts, have your team immune and allowed to perform actions instead of being frozen
