Feels like all my losses come with some kind of caveat

It's almost never just losing because one team just played better or capitalized on an opportunity. That's like 1 out of every 10 losses.

Sometimes my botlane will still be in provisionals and have no history playing ranked, vs. people as high as Gold 3 and sometimes Gold 2.

Sometimes someone will do a troll pick but I tell myself "high elo smurfs get through this stuff all the time, it's just a part of the game." Something like Leblanc support and full AP Malph jungle.

Or sometimes someone AFKs for the first few minutes and comes back before we can remake, or continues to DC and we start the game at a pretty high disadvantage.

And yeah you'll probably look at my match history and be like "Oh you're a Jax player quit complaining." Only reason I play Jax is cause he's strong enough to give a fighting chance in all these scenarios. If I played the champions that I really wanted to play all these game would likely be auto-losses. At least on Jax I can get fed enough to carry said situations.

end rant. I'm going to go have some ice cream.

I had a jungler who forgot to take smite last night.

Yes, it actually GIVES you smite as soon as you're put in jungle now, but he still somehow managed to not take it.

What's really dumb is that this isn't even that unusual an occurrence. I've been told, if you consistently dominate your lane, you will win enough games to climb no matter what anyone else is doing. I don't know about that, though. It seems like you have to grind through so many games where something totally ridiculous makes the game unwinnable no matter what you do and lose all that LP before you finally get that fair chance to prove your worth and crush your lane.

In gold? Nothing trolly about that, especially not the latter.

Ever heard the phrase "top lane is an island"? An island based on a coinflip in champ select, in this case.

Im currently logging all my Ranked matches. Tracking each Roles overall Win% at time of match and the teams average Rank and then average win% At the end of the match I note who fed and who stomped.

VERY often my end comments will be 22% overall win rate Jungler fed all enemy lanes OR 45% Win Rate Support ended 0/14 Enemy bot lane stomped. OR 57% Win Rate Top stomped 40% win rate laner

From what Im seeing so far. Riots MMR system does not care who is vs who lane wise. It ONLY Cares about Average win% of the team AND when Que time is long and there is an autofil the difference inn Win% can be as high as 10%.

Also a Difference of 0.5% tilts often to the higher team unless the Average Rank of the team is different.

Would love to throw all this data into a Neural network and see what comes out.

If ranked has taught me nothing else... sometimes you just gotta dodge. It's not worth wasting ~30 minutes of your time if you have a LB support.

Also, maybe you already know this but: If someone has the wrong runes (e.g. summoner 6 summoner 11 Caitlyn ADC), just kindly remind them. It's often an honest mistake
