Remove in game chat = 0 toxcity

Title. 100% trolls do it because they enjoy being "fed" by angry comments. If you think about it, there is no reason for a chat. You have the ping system. Anything can be communicated through it.

Or just mute the people being toxic and voila :^), chat is essential for communication and would be terrible to remove lol

uh im pretty sure you can't get reported for muting someone toxic, plus people ping too, but getting rid of chat is a terrible idea that makes no sense

I think it is a good idea it would solve a lot of problems. I'm not playing this game to be bashed on when I pick something stupid like j4 olaf bot lane. I'm just trying to play the game how games are supposed to be played aka having fun. It isn't fun getting bashed on before the game even starts.

Only reason you would get bashed on is for picking something that isnt made for that specific role >_>, even then muting is fine or ignoring people but i think removing chat is gonna do more harm then good

The chat has some uses. You can ask your tank to build Locket of the Iron Solari versus a team with lots of magic damage. You could also tell people to group up at a certain point, or buy armor/MR, or buy Last Whisper/Void Staff, etc. And hey, a simple "gj" once in a while can be nice.

you do know that trolls would only then start spamming pings nonstop until you mute them right? absolutely nothing would change except now there is no chat so then what? "remove pings = 0 toxicity"?
