Windspeaker blessing, what if the defense buff applied to self heals and shields
Would it really be imbalanced?
I think it wouldn't
But at least it would be viable on more then 4 champions

It wouldn't be imbalanced. Think of the power that other keystones have. 15 Armor and 7 MR along with 10% increased healing is nowhere near overpowered. Riot just doesn't know what they're doing with relative power between things, whether it be items, champions, or masteries, anymore.
Its just like how Warlord's wouldn't be broken if it granted spellvamp when your AP is greater than your AD. Or if Fervor applied to single target spells.
But hey, AD champions always gotta be better now, right?
Self-heals counts a lot of things though, and a near permanent defense buff unless at full health seems less than ideal.

Could make it not apply to health regen. Not a single champion that has any part of their kit focus on health regen without another heal would want to take windspeaker's anyway. Even Mundo has his Q for healing to apply it outside of regen.
Ok, so they could make it selectively only apply to certain sorts of heals. Which ones? Why those ones? How do they make it clear only those ones count?
Why would they want windspeakers compared to something from the resolve tree? Remember, the 10% increased healing already works for all champs, so the argument seems to be that whatever champs you have in mind should also have reliable defence buffs as well, which may work against one of their intended weaknesses.

Its an argument specifically against health regen. Not "these types of healing should work these shouldn't" You could even just make it health from abilities. There's no need to go about it in a case-by-case basis.
Health regen is always active, so the defense would always apply if it was not an exception. This is why it should be an exception. -.-'
Common sense here.
It doesn't matter who would want to take it, as the change would allow more people to utilize it. For example, Vlad, after his rework, may have more HP or defensive scaling on abilities. He might end up wanting it to be closer to a drain-tank sometimes. You never know.
Being tanky doesn't mean you're required to use the resolve tree to be successful, and no champ that would find it worth taking (those with heals) have resistances as an explicit intended weakness, and if they do, is 15 armor and 7.5 MR REALLY going to break them? Mobility is an intended weakness on Vlad, yet I find myself taking Stormraider's Surge with Swifties and a 30% CDR page to bypass all of his 'intended' weaknesses. Is this really so different?
If you're going to argue that laning would be the issue, it can easily scale with level.
And again, it wouldn't ruin bot lane because it wouldn't apply to regen; only healing effects.
Riot has said a few times (in the patch notes mainly) why they wouldn't. Garen, Warwick, Mundo, and Vlad to name a few, do you really want them to gain resistances from their heals?
it would require they give up other keystones, for example id rather have fervor on warwick as his ult applies it and it boost the one thing he does most auto attacking
also garen gets health regen . . .
vlad would give up DFT or Thunderlords
there is always a trade off
Imagine Garen, Vlad, Mundo, Volibear, and all those self-healing juggernauts with Windspeaker's...
I'd be horrified.
it would make drain tanks rise in popularity, which rito does not want to see.
As someone who uses Windspeakers on Vladimir consistently, trust me. This would not be a good idea.
