How brutal is silver

I finaly made it to silver after 4 years of. Im done with ranked for now. I will spam yorick in the new season like i did here which is wat git me to where i am and hopefully i start silver or even b2. If it starts me in iron, thats a nuisance. I heard some not so great things like elo boosters, smurfs, and new accounts since riot likes putting newer players in a rank that they cant hope to survive in. That's what happened to me when i played ranked for the first time. I went 2-8 and got s5 4 years ago and i got demoted to b1 then b2 then stopped playing. So how bad of a rank is it.

I spent more time in Bronze then I did in Silver. (Currently Silver 1 but I haven't played ranked in a few months).

Personally, Bronze and Iron is more difficult because you can't predict anything. People in Iron and Bronze are just different levels of bad so half the shit they do is random and unexpected. I climbed through silver in probably half the time it took me to climb through Bronze.

They moved the average elo for new players down a bit this year.

The worst part is not the new players, it is the Silver/Gold IV players that have stopped caring for the season but continue to play ranked.

Overall though climbing is always the same. It will be annoying and feel RNG unless you are significantly better than everyone else that might be put in games with and against you. Focus on laning well. As that is the part of the game you have the most control over as a solo laner. Last hit better. Trade better. Better manage the minion waves. Understand when you are more likely to be ganked and when getting ganked will screw you harder based on lane state. Track cooldowns in your head more accurately. Playing lane in an interactive manner helps improve faster than avoiding interaction. Continue to work on improving and good luck. :)

And remember, even in gold where I currently am what you play is still less important than how well you play it.

P.S. copy and paste the lobby chat messages about which players have entered the lobby into the search box on na.op.gg, and it filter out the usernames from the text and will bring up a multi player search. Here is an example of what multi search looks like.
