Legitimate problem for beginners/low elo with an easy fix.

The problem is as follows, so the player picks a champion for jungle, but the game doesn't have a jungle build for that champion. it suggests a Doran's Blade. The jungler proceeds to lose to the jungle monsters. Even more commonly: A player picks a champion for support. However the game doesn't suggest a support item. It suggests Doran's Ring. The team ends up with no wards, the support ends up poor.

Considering many champions in the game have starting items for lane, jungle, & support. I see no reason that all of the champions in the game cannot have recommended items for all 3 scenarios. Yes, even Support Yasuo should have something like a Relic Shield recommended. Jungle Lux should have a Hunter's Talisman. It's not good, it's not meta; But players can take hundreds of games to learn about why these items are important or what is meta (in the case of support items, they can take years...).

Wouldn't that just be more confusing since now it raises the question of lane match ups throwing things off. Case in point, let's say said newbie plays Yasou mid, it suggest hexdrinker because it is the game assuming he will play against AP champions, but his opponent is AD.

That is kind of the point of games like this though, learning.

I'm not suggesting it tubes builds for situations.. come on with the slippery slope fallacy.

Being support our jungle means your starting item mustbe different, and if they do it for some Champions, they should do it for all.

But we have to look at that slope, we have to look at ALL the situations here, it will teach bad habits as well.

How is it a bad habit to pick a support starting item when you're support?

It isn't, I'm talking about how if we had set recommendations for each lane, the moment something else goes against it against that build, they will learn bad habits.
