Best mid laner to lose lane on?

KilljoyX··1 votes·1,153 views

I typically lose lane when laning and was curious who the best mid to lose lane on was. Currently I basically tried to play assassins but clearly can't. Instead I feel like Karthus and other mids would be better. I'm doing csing drills on him now.

He tried to say orianna. Orianna pic is glitched lmfao. Here are some more. Brand Galio Gragas Morgana Xerath Ziggs Veigar These champs are more focused on farm, not kills (Kills are always nice thou)

I'm somewhat worried about win rate on those except for morg. They all have low numbers and I generally rely on high scaling. http://champion.gg/statistics/#?sortBy=general.winPercent&order=descend&roleSort=Middle

If you're just gonna go by winrates you're never going to be good at this game.

It's gotten me this far.

I guess a high utility mage with wave clear would help you out. Orianna

Akali KatarinaTalon and to a degree Fizz They rarely win lane anyways, but they are really good after lvl 6.

Lose lane to an AP opponent who gets fed? There's an ultimate for that.

Teamfights getting underway, and you need to help out with no damage? There's a stun for that.

Oh, you actually farmed to high heaven or got tons of kills/assists? There's an evil laugh for that.

I guess it's Morgana - atm mages have a pretty hard time to start a come back anyway - If you fail to get fed or to secure some farm, you'll have to support your team as best as you can - peel instead of poke/engage.

Things like that will work better with CC. That's why I recommend save mages with some CC and oviously a champ that scales into late. Brand Morgana Ziggs Xerath Veigar(just dont FP him) Lux

But honestly, if you dont play with the goal to win your lane from minute 1, why you're playing that lane anyway?

That's why I have a better advice - choose a champ you have fun with and spam him until you've learned all the matchups and how the lane works, judging from this you can pick up any other champ a do well with him.

Because there is no second jungle option in ranked.

Basically, any champion with strong utility (i.e. Orianna, Lux, Morgana, Veigar, Lulu) or a champion with high innate damage (i.e. Vel'koz, Brand) since they can function behind on items than many other champions.

If you have the patience, Varus is your guy. His harass is ridiculous. However he has some, to fuck all mobility. Although when you land a Q while your enemy is fully stacked, it's pretty sexy to see half their HP drop in one shot.

His ult is probably one of the best utilites in a champ. Wanna escape? Ult. Wanna engage and proc some devastating damage? Ult.

Build him with a caster-hybrid build in mind. Mainly item 3004 , item 3142 item 3158, only a single AP item on him, such as item 3115 and the Ult and W scaling will be fucking ridiculous. By then you'll have reached at least 40% cooldown. And let me tell you, as a varus mainer, nothing is more disgusting than dropping an ult to escape, then about 40 seconds later dropping it again because of the CDR %. I often hit max CDR on Varus with just these items, my masteries and a couple of CDR runes.

I think you should try to pinpoint your strengths and weaknesses as a midlaner and focus on 1-3 champions you can potentially win lane with even if its only close to 50% effectiveness. The hard part with assassins, specially zed and talon, is you have to judge when it's time to all-in or not which requires a lot of match up knowledge which is probly not the best thing for a secondary role.

Iam a bit lower elo than you (currently in promos to g2, peaked at p4), but iam a mid main. Maybe we could 1v1 or something and i could help you pinpoint your weaknesses.

Otherwise i would suggest Lux as she is very strong in the meta right now and fairly easy to play 1v1. I would not suggest any champ like Orianna (orianna) or Azir as they are fairly hard mechanicaly and require to take high risks to make plays + they are not as good in solo q. If you die too much to ganks, i would suggest trying something like Lulu which is suprisingly srtong in lane + hard to kill + good vs assassin meta + brings a ton of utility if you lose lane. I would also consider Ziggs as he is very similar to lux but a bit harder to gank.

I added you. I've got a lot of lane weaknesses but chief among them is I don't have diamond level CSing or strong lane phase mechanics which is why I JG or sup and roam. Problem is I can't carry hard enough as sup to progress fast.

If you are worried about winning lane pick utility mages. Things like Oriana, Lissandra, and Lulu are great because even if they lose lane you can just peel for whoever did win lane. Against ap heavy comps Veigar can be good too because of his ult.

Avoid low utility things like Karthus as he heavily relies on having meaningful cs, kills are a bonus but he needs gold to function.

I mean if you lose lane all the time try a diff lane... But otherwise lulu is your best bet Super safe laning, super stronf champion and late game is great.

You misunderstand. I have a giant jungle win rate but if I que as ADC/Top/Sup secondary I will rarely/never get jg. I need to know mid for the 1/5 or 1/10 games I get mid while qued jg/mid.

Basically, any long range AOE, AP mid with utility or scaling. Your utility keeps you relevant during early game against snowballers. Your scaling kicks in late game.

Gangplank farm as best you can and wait for that late game
