I don't understand why people still want thresh nerfs

He is basically a utility machine now. Most of his damage is gone. His full rotations at max does like 700 damage (flay and aa with flay). Yes this includes late game because he doesn't buy AP or magic pen so any amount of MR reduces his already mostly low damage. Just don't have your squishies burst his ult first wall and you should be fine. And his early game has him very very squishy.

I feel like these champs are all interchangable in bot lane: Thresh Blitzcrank Leona . All 3 have the same role, but the skill difference in them is usually leona being the easiest and thresh being the hardest. I still prefer leona to be nerfed (mostly her ult range, it's a sniper ult right now, 1200 range...) over thresh because at the very least thresh took some amount of skill to go in on me.

Just because he is a frequent pick in pro play doesn't make him strong. They like his versatility just like they like Lee Sin's. For them versatility is better than strength because strength is often situational, but if they do everything with a single champ and just not excel at it then that's a good choice for them.

Kind of wondering why Morgana hasn't been showing up bot lane again to mess up the meta at the end of the season.

Honestly I wanted Thresh's utility nerfed instead of his damage. He is fully locked into a support role right now, where as I think every champion should be able to be at least a niche pick as a solo lane.

I still see him do plenty of damage with his kit :/

You can nerf a champ in more ways than just damage. Thresh's utility gives him power in every way - a hook with the OPTION to Hard engage, disengages easily, can throw his team a get out of jail free card and his ult even provides a huge slow - all while gaining inherent tankiness all game from souls.

They need to nerf thresh so he has to make choices. Maybe increase cooldowns, maybe make his hook pull him to his target like nauts, maybe make it to enemy champs could destroy the lantern. There are so many things they could do to make Thresh healthier.

The problem with Thresh is that he has way too many tools for one champion. He has a hook, a knockup, lantern, and of course his ult. Also he has decent range (unlike Leona who to do E-Q combo has to jump into melee range) so he is rather low risk/high reward.

Thing is the other champs all bring damage to the table and just as much utility. The only thing Thresh gets over them is flexibility which he pays for with being very squishy until mid game.

Lol no. Thresh has more utility than any other champ and the ability to work in pretty much any team comp, name one other champion that has nearly as much Utility as thresh and damage to boot.

I would say Leona very much does this. Mostly because she gets free tank. Blitz is pretty flexible too because he can peel with both his hook and e. The only thing that he trades is saving people with a lantern for a better pull and more damage. Leona gets a lot more AoE and free tank as well as lock down compared to thresh. She doesn't have to self lock herself down for part of her combo. And her range really isn't that bad especially with her 1200 ult range.

Leona has really weak damage though. Also Leona actually NEEDS to be more tanky because she needs to dive into the enemy team. Leona has 2 stuns (technically 3 with her E) while thresh has a hook, a knockup, and a hard slow, so tbh I'd say that their lockdown potential is about even.

However Thresh has more utility in that he can save teammates and can choose whether to go in or not, Leona can't do this.

I want him nerfed because I'm tired of playing against him 1 in 3 games. Because there is no comp that he's a bad pick for.

Also, Leona is the hardest. She has no poke or sustain and poor disengage, and when she goes all in she's totally committed.

Thresh can engage, but doesn't have to, and can bring someone with him to said fight with his lantern. Leona just goes all in and hopes the rest of he team has the awareness/mobility to join in. Thresh can also disengage and has a get out of jail free for his ADC...

I want him nerfed to uselessness for just a bit to drive all the people away from him. And then they can buff him back up to his current state slowly and hopefully they won't come back for a while.

You're right, all those supports are interchangeable. And they have all dominated bot lane the last two seasons.

Hopefully Face of the Mountain gets nerfed to be a less efficient item. It gives really good stats compared to the other two and the on demand heal plus shield is too much.
