: A good investment (but pricey) for that extra bit of burst that AD assassins like (kha, rengo, zed, talon, etc)
: Tanky aoe waveclear item that gives fightings that extra tank needed to for that last auto while it gives tanks that needed waveclear and dmg to be relevant
: Luden's Echoes for the ap junglers out there
: Provides movement speed and extra burst with a hefty amount of ap. Good for roaming and strong lane presence
: Acts as an anti-burst damage item (kind of like Maw) that a lot of champions get
A lot of people can explain this wayyy better than me, this is just my first thoughts when I see the item
Duskblade is good on EVERY champion.
It's basically a free Zed ult and then some regarding the insanely high base damage it already provides.
This item should be deleted or receive nerfs in the future from how insane the damage is, then to proc the passive from it literally 1 shots almost anyone in the game, and does a shit ton of damage to tanky champions as well, and if you got penetration, the said tank is probably dead, so goodbye Nasus.
Not especially. Riven is more of a sustained damage dealer and she can have trouble getting to the back line in lategame teamfights.
Riven was actually the first champion that I chose to focus on because she is arguably the most simple champion to itemize for but does require a good bit of skill to play accurately. With out a doubt, THE most important statistic to get on Riven is AD, AD, and ... wait, .. I'm missing something, ... oh yeah, AD! It's actually pretty stupid how her defensive ability even scales on her attack damage. ... but anyways, I will actually give you some good tips below
I was really not joking at all when I said you need to focus on AD, but there is a little more to it. Life Steal is a really good stat to have on Riven as well.
is a generally one of the best items you can get on Riven. It gives a great amount of AD which helps all of her abilities, and the Life Steal will generally keep you fairly healthy if you learn to use her combos correctly. When using this item, remember to use the active effect as an auto attack reset.
Otherwise practically any other AD item works well.
Attack speed is useful but not required because if you learn how to use her abilities effectively to fight your attack speed won't really be that useful.
It is not important to focus on critical strike chance!
would really be the only item I would even consider when it comes to crit.
If you are ever getting behind, you may want to switch gears and look for a defensive item (this is a good suggestion with ANY champion), but if you can, still try to get something with AD.
It is also good to keep in mind that Riven benefits very well from cooldown reduction (CDR). There is actually a thing as too much mobility on Riven because her abilities can be used fairly well to get her around quickly. She effectively has 4 short range dashes. The fact that she has low cooldowns to begin with and no resource to worry about means that it is usually wise to go with
over most other boots.
As for skill leveling, I recommend taking Q at first level, then alternating between W and E because their cooldown times decrease with rank and Q's does not. Take Ult whenever possible and Max Q last.
When using your abilities try to weave an auto attack in between each ability, including each use of your Q because of your passive. Remember that she can only store up to 3 of these empowered auto attacks at a time and if you are using her mechanics correctly you should always have an empowered auto attack at all points of combat.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LOOKING ON YOUTUBE FOR A PLAYER CALLED BOXBOX!! He is a phenomenal Riven player and he has a few HOW TO RIVEN videos. If he says anything that conflicts with what I said (just in case) take his word over mine.
