I tried it on PBE, but now that it's on live, I absolutely love it.
If I had to list my favourite thing about it, it would definitely be the speed of champ select. With pick intent, we already know what we plan to do and don't have to dilly-dally around with deciding what we want to do.

They could just let you click Bot and then show a menu for "Support" and "Carry" but they could just make it simpler by using normal names.

I understand that but they just made it more misleading. Why not call it Bot Carry then? Bot has 2 roles so it shouldn't be listed as a single role you click. First time I saw "Bot" listed, I thought I'd be randomly assigned to ADC or support. Of course, after glancing and seeing Support as an option, I understood but it's still odd.

I had no trolls, no fighting. In my first game, we actually talked about team comp, picked one that would stomp the enemy, and executed it nearly perfectly (to be fair, other team had a dc, but the champ select experience was super positive). In the second, we had two duo + 1 against the enemy trio + 2. Champ select went smoothly, again with everyone playing along and picking smart. Stomped again.
Trolls were in the old mode, too, so when I get them, I think it's unlikely that I'll think it's a consequence of the new mode. Everything to do with the champ select experience was great (except not being able to change ward skins. But they are already on that).
