Melee champions are still running around at 450 MS and Luden's no longer gives movement speed

Why don't you go try being a melee against these "poor" immobile casters?

I had to stop playing my main. Aside from the movespeed everyone has, there's just so many champs with dashes and gap-closers.

If you think the speed of melee champs is bad, just wait until you play a melee champ with a built in speed boost and both can't catch and can't escape ranged champs.
