For years I've put HP potions on 1, Mana potions on 2, wards on 3. With mana pots removed I still put HP pots on 1 and wards on 3, but I see a lot of videos of people with potions on 2, and I think it's because the store puts them AFTER your starting item. And when they start corrupting potion they put it on 2 anyway.

Bhagswag2 votesSame. Most important active goes here (ex: Tiamat). Second most important active goes on 3 (ex: randuins). In that case, any potion I still might have will go on 1. The least important active goes on 1.
After three active items, I wonder why I'm not a support main instead.

After laning, if I don't have active items, I'll put my pots on 2/T when I remember and put control wards on T when I remember to buy them. If I have only one active item, I put pots on 2 and leave the active on 3, with control wards on T. If I have a few active items, I tend to put pots on 4 or 6, since they'll be largely secondary to item actives.
(My layout for keybindings on items is 1/2/3/4/6/T with 5 for trinkets.)

Fondling Gems2 votes2, with 3 as my second active item. Your middle finger is the longest finger, and thus has the easiest time reaching higher keys. The middle finger covers the 2 and 3 keys on my keyboard, so they are the ones I prefer to use for actives. After that it goes 1, 4, 5, 6 in terms of priority based on the easiest to reach for me.

When I play support I put Sightstone on 4. My Tirnket is on 7 which is actually pretty stupid and uncomfortible. I always want to change that but I am too lazy lol.
Also Flash is on D like it is supposed to be. People using flash on F are doing something wrong with their life.
