A trend in the strong champions
Every single one is toxic. Each one has very little counter play and usually relies on counter picking.
Lucian - very easy to land poke with really no counter play other than stopping his ult or zoning him all game Tristana - her E and range gives her a pretty big advantage and she has multiple escapes Lux - her Q and E are both extremely long range and have cc to set up for a high damage long range ult Lee Sin- his Q is very easy spammable high damage and his ult scales extremely well Talon - has little counter play other than staying away from him Caitlyn - Her Q and passive allow her to farm relatively safe and put out a ton of poke while her ult gives her executes. Zilean - Q is "his only damage source" so it does a lot of damage (double bombs ffs, 2 of 400 damage is 800 thats a lot of burst damage when he can just run away and come back and do it again due to not enough mana costs) and an ult that says don't focus ___. Maokai - saplings slow and do a lot of damage from long range for someone who is meant to tank and make his team tankier Jayce is a new emergence in mid lane - he chunks most mid laners with his Q for 400s by level 6 with a brutalizer and 1 ability combined with a disengage/engage. Alistar - ult reduces all damage by 70% at all ranks (why it gives AD with that I have 0 clue). There is 0 counter play to that other than true damage and the majority of top laners don't have it and 2 of the adcs that have it are minor amounts. In fact not many champs have true damage (vayne is a common ban lately) Fiora - the buffs to her ult have dropped her counter play a lot (referring to it no longer dropping if you break her vision or were not visible to begin with). Now you have to rely on being innately strong and building armor (not many top laners can do that and still out trade her) Yi - kind of a hot iron topic. He has a really strong late game in exchange for an average early game (feels like Jax pre-nerfs to me).
I am in no way saying they are OP, but they generally can't be itemized against when their strength is present.
I could go into detail about them and many more champs but unless we want to delve into Dota 2 balance of putting strong against strong for balancing and relying on counter picking almost alone we can, but Riot doesn't seem to want that path and that isn't what makes League fun.
I am just voicing my opinion about the balancing feel free to disagree with me. I honestly just want the game to be fun rather than "Fuck Lux landed her Q now I am dead" or "Fiora is fed GG".
