yea....akali got absolutely dumpster-ed, can a rioter elaborate?

she was toxic before for sure but definitely balanced....

i would like to see some follow up on her because her niche is entirely destroyed

Twin Disciplines (Passive) - [reworked into a two hit passive]: Now gives Akali's next two attacks bonus effects (base values scale with lvl) then goes on cooldown. First strike restores 10-170 (+70% bonus AD) health. Her second strike (within 4 seconds) deals 14-70 (+45% AP) magic damage. Cooldow for empowered attacks is 8-5 seconds based on level.

Crescent Slash (E): Cooldown changed to 5/4.5/4/3.5/3 from 5/4/3/2/1 Damage changed: NEW: [70/100/130/160/190 (50% AP)(70% Bonus AD)] OLD: [30/55/80/105/130 (40% AP)(60% TOTAL AD) Shadow Dash (R): Damage changed to 50/100/150 (+25% AP) from 100/175/200 (+50% AP) Cooldown changed to 2 second at all ranks and is no longer affected by CDR from 2/1.5/1.

at level 6 she lost .65% ap damage as well has 150 flat damage and at level 9 her old e outdamages her new e so pre 9 she is SIGNIFICANTLY nerfed.

she no longer has access to ranged sustain and her split push sustain tower taking power and overall effectiveness is reduced. she no longer has any reason to build ANY attack damage since it doesnt increase her burst. her passive damage no longer scales with AD her teamfighting is garbage and is pretty accepted as such. I doubt this new w increases her effectiveness since there are still so many spells that reveal

so in summary -lost her most valuable low counterplay tools -lost her efficient itemization via ap ad and raw resistances in exchange for a standard ap/health/resistances and her new itemization is getting nerfed -her flat and scaling damage and upfront damage and sustained dps got nerfed since she now needs to aa twice to get access to her burst and now has her passive go on cooldown. -you now cant reveal her from her w via wards just everything else that already does

Im all for making her fair but why dumpster a champ whos barely treading water?

Please buff or revert and go back to the drawing board.

Say what you will but akali had one of the coolest and one of the most potentially difficult but workable pre 6 gameplay. Meanwhile ryze is still completely counteractive because he pushes so fast early/has access to alot of disengage via passive and w and hes allowed to keep that pattern rework after rework.

just wait till the diver rework and work on diana/akali side by side because this was not the changes akali players deserve even if her opponents deserve it.
