Lucian's E is the same range. Vayne's Q is actually coded not to go over walls, however it can go over player made walls that are thin enough because they're coded as minions, not walls. Vayne's Q animation cancels when she dashes into a wall, and she really doesn't need it to go over map walls.

Yeah I'm dumb I thought about the anivia wall and forgot it was coded as a minion

Riven and Vayne are completely different champions.

Not only are they completely different champions, but also only Riven's third Q and her E are able to go over walls.

A better comparison would be Lucian.

Lucian's E and Vayne's Q are the same range. Vayne's Q is coded to, instead of going over walls, animation cancel, meaning that it can't be used as an escape, but it can be used to get an instant auto reset by casting it into a wall. Player made walls, like Jarvan's, are coded as minions, not walls, and some are thin enough for her to go over with it, so she can dash over something like a Jarvan wall.

Honestly, though, her safety is fine if you know how to kite and use her ultimate's stealth on Q. She doesn't need to be able to dash over walls, and the animation cancel for more burst just works better with her kit.

Thats something I didnt think about. I do cast it into walls to animation cancel and this would actually mess it up. I guess this thread can die. Thanks.

I actually am not practiced enough on Vayne to use the animation cancel properly, but I do use it all the time on turrets, since her Q damage buff deals the damage to turrets now.
