Welp you did it Riot. Finally made me rage enough to uninstall. Would think after 7 GOD DAMN SEASONS you would learn how calculate mmr. But you don't because it doesn't effect the top 1% of players. So fuck the rest of us right?

I am literally silver 2 right now rank what like top 37-38% of players currently. AND I GET A BRAND NEW NON RANKED PLAYER ON MY TEAM. Best part? THIS IS THEIR 4TH GAME ALREADY. Shall we see how their prior games have gone?

Rank game 1: Loss 4-10-8 with 2.7 c/s /min

Game 2: Loss 1-11-2 1.5 c/s min

Game 3: Win 0-12-8 2.9 c/s min

Game 4: (my game) Ok so here are. New player record of 1-2 with k/d/a so far of 1.7/11/6 with avg 2.37 c/s min. Your system thinks "well their 1-2 in placements so far but look at their amazing stats /s... they are totally... for sure.... better than 60% of players who play this game. They probably just had some bad luck all 3 games lets see what happens in game 4. Welll... guess wtf happened? I bet any of us with common sense could guess. If you guess Loss with a score of something like 1-12-6 with 2.9 c/s a minute you would be correct!

Am I mad because my team didn't have a tank but sucked it up and played anyways? YUP

Did I play even though we had Lucian mid who only playing it because he saw the pros do it and I knew the probability of it being successful was slim to none? YUP

Did I play even though enemy team had Akali vs a team of squish who I knew was going to get fed and 2 all of us? YUP

Despite all that I continue to play your game because it happens all the time and I even had a positive attitude in the game in question because I thought we could pull it out.

But what I cannot forgive is another ruined game of SO SO MANY GAMES because a new player is expected to play the game at a level higher than 60% of the player population. And that my dear dear Riot... is literally retarded. And is why I have officially after 7-8 years of playing your game uninstalled it.

Btw... I have 4 accounts so when you count number of active players realize you just lost 4 not 1.....

As FYI... everyone pretty much has at least 1 smurf and veterans have 3+. So you should divide your active player numbers by 3 or more if you really want an accurate player count number.

??????????????????? I am quitting because their matchmaking system is a joke not because I don't want to help teammates. Hell that's actually half my problem is being a team player in a solo snowball meta. But that doesn't mean I need to be playing RANKED "competitive" games with first time league players. Sorry if you don't realize how stupid that is.

So a brand new player goes into placements... should he start at bronze V and only play in that range? Then because of his matchups when he finishes, his best placement will be what... bronze V? I think it's reasonable to have one game every now and then with a new player (who most of the time is a smurf these days anyhow) and I always bitch and complain about the system.

I get it I wish they would start new players with like bronze 1 mmr and go from there. If they win first couple increase mmr quick and see how they do. But if they lose no reason they shouldn't still be playing bronze players. But instead system starts them off in silver 3 which is going to be overwhelming for legit new players at least 95% of the time.

That's the thing though.... this was their 4TH! game and they still playing with w/e that stupid starting mmr is. They got 1 win because they got carried but they clearly not having fun going 0-10 or w/e every game meanwhile their teammates are annoyed trying to carry someone who is clearly new to the game.

no you are right riot didn't make him do anything, the assholes who play this game and then think it's a big joke when someone gets frustrated caused him to quit. although lets be honest riot could be better with the match making system, but they don't in my time playing ranked i have come across players who i swear where smurfs because they got nothing better to do but ruin lower ranked games because they can't climb their asses our of the main ranks they have. or you get paired with players who are silver or up who are just complete and total assholes because they can be. ranked is nothing more then ego stroking and dick sucking, and i don't care if i get reported for saying it. the community in ranked is trash, the match making is bullshit and the players who don't give two shits about anyone else are terrible. a new player going into ranked this season like me, could become so frustrated that they could have a fucking stroke because of how stressed they become playing. and even playing normals doesn't make it any better because the people who play ranked and are having a bad day go over onto a new account go into normals and then bad mouth other players while making their lives a living god damn hell.

this shit needs to stop and it needs to stop right now, honestly if people make smurf accounts and they are gold or higher ip ban those mother fucking assholes and delete their accounts. cause i'm tired of it, and to the people who are assholes in general and have been ranked gold or higher in previous seasons either keep them with other players who have that same skill level or don't fucking match them up with players who are fresh and are not as skilled. if i want to play against players who play like diamond then wait till i'm in fucking diamond not god damn bronze or silver.

riot needs to fix this shit and fix it quick, because it's broken it's fucking hurting the game as a whole. i went into ranked with a positive attitude because it was my first attempt at it, and after all the crap i have gone through with it i have not been in a very good place. ranked has destroyed my mental state which i didn't think was possible considering that my friends all call me a real life joker x.x

Your ranked MMR is different than your normals MMR, so a new player in ranked doesn't have a ranked MMR yet. That's what the 10 placement games are for.

In normals MMRis generally lower because people don't take them as seriously and a lot of higher elo players use them to practice and try out new champs or builds.

I know how it works I am saying its dumb and flawed. The starting mmr for new accounts is too high in ranked. If its a smurf...fuck it they are going to be climbing anyways and you could still have gold highest placement rank just don't start them off so high so for legit new players they don't get crushed so hard.

Plus what people fail to realize is this was the players 4th placement game. They got crushed in every game yet snuck out 1 win from being carried. The whole thing is just dumb and lazy on Riot's end. Meanwhile players like myself who may not excel at the game or hell 1 role and champ but have played forever are stuck trying to carry someone who clearly has no idea what their doing. It gets old. I have played this game for years and dealt with this shit for season on season on season and I am sick of it. Riot just ignores matching making problems to focus on queue times and I and many others hate it. Hell you hear streamers and high elo players bitch about mming all the time for years. Well its the same in low elo but low elo gets ignored because its low elo. I get that you need to get better to carry but it doesn't mean low elo players shouldn't have fun at all trying to climb. And that is what a poor match making system does... it ruins the fun of playing.

I honestly haven't had fun since coming back to this game. Every game feels random. Every win feels lucky because I got the team who knows wtf is going on verse the team that doesn't. Every loss feels like a waste of time.

But hell its a snowball meta which I also hate. So much for knowing more than a good chunk of the player population in mid/late game if you not 10-0 by 10 mins amirite?

Your ranked MMR gets reset so I believe if you're a new account you either start with a base MMR or with no MMR, as in it has to put you against people to determine the MMR.

If their MMR isn't set then the game has no real choice but to put them with random people so that it can determine an MMR.

Either that or maybe your MMR is just low?

"Your MMR is lower than the average expected MMR for players in your division. Your MMR will continue to tank unless you improve your play!"

Either way coming to the boards to complain won't get you anything, if you want to leave then leave. Spending your time on the boards complaining about the game that you say you are giving up seems kinda stupid. If you don't want to play as a team then don't play team games...?

Yea it works out really well /s. Countless games ruined due to new player = silver 3 brought to you by Riot games. But god forbid someone's smurf got placed 1 or 2 divisions lower because they change starting mmr of new accounts. That would just ruin smurfing......

I mean, the point is:

You start only being able to play bot games. You then level up to 30 playing norms. THEN you play ranked. Just cause you're unranked doesn't mean you're brand spanking new, so they set you at an mmr that'd be the average for the population and that's Silver 3. If that average changed, then where new players would start would change. The point is to give those guys a chance to prove that they're not Bronze trash after leveling to 30.

Now, if there was no requirements before starting ranked or something, then I'd say they should start at the bottom of the ladder and just climb, but they DO have game experience, so that experience needs to be judged. If you climb to Plat, you'll probably never deal with this again as long as you play, given you'll start each season in low gold or high silver, high enough to dodge that bullet.

Side note: You'll ALWAYS have dirty feeder dogs in your games. It may take a new form, but it's gonna happen.

"high silver" well technically silver 2 should be considered that. But looks like my mmr may been lower so it probably was silver 3. Still you have a player playing 4th placement game when its plain as day in their prior 3 games they are clearly not silver 3 mmr but game cant judge that because its bullshit. So nevertheless here we are wasting time trying to play a game with some like minded individuals yet there so much bullshit to deal with it feels like a miracle when you actually get an evenly matched game. I mean...people were complaining really bad about season 6, but I went from D5 to Plat 5 and I did like 4:6 in provisionals this year or so? Maybe even 3:7? I always fuck up my provisionals. xD

Regardless, if you wanna quit, it's fine, just know that it's not some major conspiracy or something that's causing your issues.

Not shit stomps happen. But this is literally stomps happening 9/10 GAMES! Not 1 in 6 or 7 like I saw last year. Hell I couldn't believe how many 10-10 at w/e time in game I saw in season 6. Honestly not sure last time I have seen even kill count even after 10 mins.

I am not saying its impossible to climb. I am saying matchmaking is garbage making the climb much more painful than it needs to be. But we need lower queue times especially since Riot decided to sport 2 queues and now people neeeeeeeed their 1 role. I do like new champ select but it has created a new generation of LoL scrublings who can't do dick outside 1 role and 1 champ (at least more often). Spin the wheel how you want you still can't give me a straight face and say "90% of my games are even matches." And if you can you are one hell of a good liar.
