Kassadins 6.15 literally make no sense.
I am by no means a Kass expert, but reading the patch notes before I head out onto the rift, I am really confused as to what they tried to do here.
So I will just get right to it. Riot said exactly this:
"Picking Kassadin requires massive team support to get rolling, but rewards you with high damage and unparalleled mobility for your trouble. At present, however, Kassadin finds himself unable to even show up to lane versus some of the mages he should be favored against. Kassadin’s scaling potential will still be locked behind an uncertain early game, but tossing his lane some love should see more teams reap a return-on-investment for supporting their local Void Walker."
That's Kass as we know it. Dumpster tier early game, and either gets lucky to get ahead, or farms his way there to become a mobile assassin(an assassin having trash-tier bases, why can't other assassins follow his example? but i digress)
So what did they do to him?
"Q - Null Sphere DAMAGE 70/95/120/145/170 ⇒ 65/95/125/155/185"
Um...what? How is that "tossing his lane some love"? That's literally nerfing his early game and putting even more power into later levels, at which the decisive moments of the lane phase vs zed or yasuo will have already been decided. In what world is nerfing an already weak early game considered "tossing his lane some love"?
You have to literally get rank 3 of Q before you break even, and Q is the skill you typically max especially in ranged or bad matchups. I dunno, this change just seems pointless overall. What does the boards think? I am curious as to what the boards think, I don't just want this to be a one way rant.
P.S. I am well aware I made zero mention of the E changes, Kassadin has infinite mana sustain, and usually only runs out when he has his ult unlocked so it's kinda pointless, but it's still a flat buff (yay)unlike the Q "buffs" which are a nerf at first.
