When Pyke was released, didn't Riot specifically say they're going to tune Pyke as a support so players can't play him outside of bottom lane? Now that the pros are playing Pyke in solo lanes, players are realizing that he is pretty decent and obviously scales well throughout the game.
Apparently many of the playerbase are all monkey see monkey do. If a pro did not do this, nobody will do that.
The thing about Pyke is that he doesn't have a burst of an assassin like Talon or Zed. He relies heavily on his allies so he can use his ulti and that's basically what's supposed to lock him in bot lane. But the pros just pointed the middle finger at this shit and went Pyke top and now we are suffering from this.
