Riot doesn't know how to balance. That much has been obvious for at least a year now. I don't think for a single second they know what they're doing with Taliyah. If you told me they were making changes to her at random for the lulz, I would have absolutely no problem believing you. Why else would they take one of her defining traits and nerf it into the ground? It wasn't because it was the right thing to do. It was because lazy jackoffs couldn't be bothered to figure out a way to deal with it, so Riot decided to pander to that instead, because they happen to be on the same wavelength.

It's like saying "let's nerf ranged adcs because they have range and melee characters don't and people who play melee characters don't know how to deal with it."

Taliyah being moved from mid to jungle was an unintended side effect, just like everything the balance team does is an unintended side effect.

I would also still like her old W back as well, but bring her back to mid is a start

Tbh I wish they would just kill her jungle (add reduced damage to large jungle monsters on her Q) and balance her around midlane as extreme as that sounds.

Ucal plays her mid, soloQ is other story.
