Fizz Trickster vs Yas WW

Lugg··3 votes·567 views

I just wanted to post some perspective on these abilities.

Yas's Windwall blocks all projectile damage for 3.75 seconds on an 18 second CD at max rank. Blocking all projectile damage is a very strong ability, hence the long CD.

in comparison, Fizz's Playful Trickster makes him immune to ALL DAMAGE and does a high amount of damage with a .75 AP ration and a 60% slow as well. It's also on a 10 second CD at max rank.

Is it just me, or is this CD ridiculously short for how strong it is?

Yasuo's Windwall can protect every allied unit behind it from projectiles and negate them entirely.

Fizz's E only prevents the projectile from hitting himself. Also, it doesn't render him immune to damage; it only makes him untargetable.

While I'm not arguing for or against the abilities in question being balanced, you are misrepresenting their effects.

I think what Riot needs to do with Windwall is make it only stop a limited number of hits before falling, stopping everything at all times is annoying, especially when he just sits in it to make it impossible to kill without melee ranged stuff unless he leaves it.

You're not fully correct about Fizz

Fizz's Playful Trickster makes him immune to ALL DAMAGE

This is false because he only becomes untargetabe, he still takes damage and dies from DOT effects (Malz E, Teemo poison, Ignite, etc). It's not like Stasis that makes them immune as well. Yes it needs nerfed, but if you're going to shit post at least do it with accurate information.

True, DoT's still tick, but I was assuming everyone knew that.

Why are you comparing two extremely different abilities?

Why are you comparing two extremely different abilities?

They really aren't that different. They are defensive abilities on high damage champs.

Why do you shitpost so much?

Lugg2 votes

What exactly is the problem with this post?

I'm just pointing out that they are defensive abilities on high damage fighters and that Fizz's is way stronger on a MUCH shorter CD.

Joxcab2 votes

Not at all.

They have entirely different points and usages and capabilities.

Yasuo's W can cover for more than one person. Fizz's can dodge non skillshots. Yasuo's can block point and click. Fizz's can't for a good number. (Would either just cancel the cast not putting it on cooldown or prevent cast in the first place for most) Yasuo can move freely behind the wall. Fizz is limited to his hop spot. Yasuo's W isn't his mobility. Fizz's E is his mobility. Yasuo's W doesn't deal damage. Fizz's E does. Yasuo's W lasts longer and is larger. Fizz's E has the potential to slow.

So on and so forth.

Again you are missing the entire point of my post.

Both champs are fighters who do huge amounts of damage. They each have a defensive ability that is very strong. The difference is that Yas WW only prevents certain damage and Fizz PT can avoid all types of damage. Yas can protect his team, but Fizz has the AoE slow which can help the team as well. Plus it does great damage.

You also made some false statements. Fizz can dodge point and clicks since he becomes untargetable basically instantly. Plus he can Zyonyas during it, so it can actually last as long as the WW. You also say that Fizz has limited mobility during it, which is completely false, he has great mobility with it. Fizz also has mobility with his Q.

So, the abilities are similar but Fizz's is much stronger but it's the one with the ridiculously short CD. It should at least be on par with WW. That's the point i'm making.

You say I missed the entire point but your very next sentence is automatically wrong.

They are not both fighters. Neither of them are even fighters. Yasuo is a skirmisher. Fizz is an assassin.

Yasuo WW works autonomously to protect everyone behind it. For Fizz to get the slow, he has to E and NOT use the E2 jump and then just drop down. There is both time to move out of the way or the ability to just punish and/or kill him now because E was his only safety tool and he used it for a melee range slow instead of escaping now.

Zhonya's is an additional item factor with 120s cooldown or so. That is irrelevant. No, not all point and clicks can h dodged with his E. Technically, he will just prevent or disable the cast altogether before it starts which stops it from going on cooldown, for applicable abilities like Darius' ultimate for example.

Fizz's E mobility is clearly obvious. If he Es twice, he loses the slow and it's basically just a somewhat long dash that is clearly obvious which direction he's going. The only exception would be if he's right next to a thin wall. If he Es only once, then he drops into the middle of the enemy team and dies.

Q is situational and requires an enemy team and can be both dodged and interrupted due to the way it works.

Fizz's PT is not "stronger" than WW. You are comparing apples and oranges and trying to defend one being better. I'm saying your point is invalid because it's based off an incorrect assumption in the first place. They are not comparable abilities. They serve completely different purposes on completely different champions with completely different playstyles.
